I have a long history of mental "issues" and have had support from the NHS over the years. With current problems facing the NHS I understand services are limited but after seeking support for many months and with nothing else available, I recently had a phone "assessment" by IAPT which was incomplete. I was told I needed another assessment call but following in internal meeting it was decided that wouldn't happen and no support was available to me. My GP can only keep giving me antidepressants which aren't actually affective for my disorder but are meant to address the depression and anxiety it causes. I feel hopeless and helpless and IAPT wouldn't even assess me properly with a competent, experienced staff member.

The most appalling of services and incompetent staff and a complete commitment to preventing access to actual help.

And I feel awful writing this review as anyone who has to access this service, clearly has no other choice than to do so.

So, so, sad this is considered acceptable for individuals without the 'privilege' of accessing secondary MH services.

No help whatsoever. The whole IAPT concept just doesn't work. Treatment for any kind of mental health issue simply has to be interpersonal to be truly effective.

The member of staff like to lie and caused mostly and distress and saying it's the patient in it's there thought the member of staff name is Fran Williams b appointments not the assisted and saying to me the service ended the key come back to you 😡
