Beyond useless, I waited 18 months. 18 hard painstaking months just to be told the specialist treatment I require cannot be provided through the NHS and that I'd have to go private, I was then just redirected to the basic low level counselling services that I was already aware of for years, they do nothing for you.
Unless you've been sectioned or attempt to kill yourself, you're not getting any help worth it's salt from this service or the NHS in general it seems.

Awful, just awful.

Change staff and psychiatrists all the time so no continuity of care.

Get given a case worker/nurse who is your first point of call. However, in my case, there clueless. So you have to wait for them to relay information back and forth to a psychiatrist and misrepresent everything you told them a million times.

Time consuming, distressing and loads of pointless form filling (how are you feeling today?
0 - 10 ) blah blah blah...

CBT and SSRI's is all you'll get, even though they don't work for me. Don't even think of asking for something that isn't on the NICE treatment pathway, cause SSRI's apparently work for every condition (we're all lacking serotonin people)

Save yourself time and stick with your GP. They can do just the same.

It took many months before my wife finally got a diagnosis and the correct medication. With Mental Health and Anxiety time is of the essence. We even where forced to change to another Doctors Group to get a result. She was not in a fit state to do Group Sessions at Huntington House which is part of Tees Esk Mental Health set up

Kicked from the CMHT despite still asking for help with depression and anxiety, mental health is in a worse state than when I first sought help.
