Good location, saw an interesting play.
Theatre itself, the entrance does not lend itself to gather with a group of people to have a drink prior. Limited bar. Seats OK. Plenty of bars nearby!

The theatre was nice and they made very good use of the space they have however the seats are very uncomfortable and I felt like the chair was going to break if I leaned back. Maybe invest in some chairs that give u more comfort for the price of ÂŖ45 a ticket.

Visited this bijou theatre under the railway arches to see a superb production (Their Finest Hour).
We had a great time!
There's a tiny bar with one member of staff serving, and as a result rather flustered & short tempered.
The foyer is very small, but tidy & functional. Loos were clean reportedly.
The theatre itself was super.
Do bear in mind that trains are rumbling overhead which, for the production we saw, about WW2, added to the ambience perfectly.
On leaving, there are few black cabs if any passing by. We called an uber, without issue.

We went on a comedy musical, we loved it. Only one thing was a problem- we could hear the train go by every couple of minutes

Just saw the most wonderful production - F**king Men. Absolutely brilliant. Waterloo East Theatre is a small intimate space in which this production shone. Shame the man in charge of front of house was so officious and unfriendly. The person doing this job needs to be far more welcoming.

Great little hidden theatre, underneath the arches around Waterloo. Such a shame that the man behind the bar was rather rude.

When waiting to take our seats, two ladies having an argument with him about buying a drink at the bar before the show. We were then told we needed to hurry up into our seats, even though we were not the ones holding everyone up. Not to mention we were asked to leave almost as soon as the lights came up.

Overall an average experience, I would recommend a jumper as it became very cold after about 30 minutes inside. Not a very friendly environment.

Arrived 10 mins early in driving rain told to wait outside. Once inside purchased a glass of wine which was brought out from under the counter pre poured and was only half a plastic glass and
unchilled, not good. Not a gracious host but has some great shows.
