Absolutely disgraceful service. Incredibly rude incompetent staff, hanging up the phone, refusing to transfer or give access to managers or complaints. Very very dangerous for anyone trying to get Mental Health, support.

Absolutely shocking. The last psychiatrist I saw wrote complete nonsense about me. This was in September. I'm really struggling atm. Also you never get to see the same psych more than twice. I don't want to end up in hospital.

Terrible place. I have rarely seen the same psychiatrist twice and have never seen the consultant who is supposedly in charge of my care. I was told this was because the psychiatrists are on a training rotation so unless you have two appointments within six months of each other you will always see someone different. This means there is no continuity and no one person really engages with your experience. I think the worst experience I saw someone else having at Vivienne Cohen House was a guy complaining that he’d been waiting over a year to receive a letter that he needed. He was being told to go away and return and he was refusing, actually really calmly but steadfastly, and the receptionist was telling him not to threaten her or she’d call the police, which he just kept calmly encouraging her to do.

I m still living in fear and intolerable situation. Either caseworker has left or VCH has shut down. After several texts and messages left by phone not 1 person called me back with even an update hence stars are now 1 or 0 really. I feel worse than ever in a system that is inhuman. Finally after weeks got a call which had me going round in circles and from so called home treatment team to Viv Coh Hse have got literally nowhere. It s led me to spiral downhill even more .. if you think you ll get the professional treatment you need dont bother. . I abandoned all hope of that. I am now getting counselking by a caring charity who were disgusted by what I tpld them were empathetic and at no time did they ever talkdown to me. I did get help from a lovely benefits advisor based at VCh but only after a call to 111 at suicidal level. Sge arranged it next day unlike VCH who did zero. I have nowhere to go when like that but thi chsrity will help with whst they can..put in a complaint went round in circles so stopped..they kept trying to close complaint as though everything was solved .....

Avoid this place at all costs. Do not have your family transferred here, especially if they have a severe mental health illness, as they simply do not care. My relative, who is under a CTO, has been overdue their medication for well over two months and has only been contacted twice (if that). Had to give one star in order to post this review.

Waited over a year to get therapy with a very serious mental health condition and was discharged after ONE assessment with a therapist because I am full time employed finishing at 4pm Monday to Friday and thus cannot make use of their service. Unbelievable. Has actually made me feel worse. I wish they hadn’t contacted me in the first place.

They took SIX weeks since the appointment to send a prescription to my local chemist! Their psychiatrists didn’t provide me a proper treatment but merely put me on an over-one-year waiting list for a workshop group despite my severe long term sufferings and symptoms that I fully described to them. Total tax and time wasters. They don’t care about patients.
