Not had a problem with psychology but as said below by Joe the therapies are impossible. I waited 3 years on a waiting list to be forced to do a therapy I knew wouldn’t work instead of what I needed. Iv now been put forward again (I saw this coming) and have been passed back and forth, CMHT have rejected my referral now too so here to another 3 year wait, or suicide.
They really don’t seem to care or use common sense.

Agreed and signed to 12.5mg injection, they doubled it to 25mg without asking and then started to shove 400mg of it in me.
Now I'm being recalled to hospital for not wanting 400mg, it's only 32 times what I'd signed up for.

Other than that, the place is a depressing wreck that will make your mental health worse!

A horrible and depressing place. This seems to be where you end up when people don’t know what to do with you. Layers and layers of bureaucracy seem to stop people from getting the help that they so desperately need and this only adds to the problems. I only feel sorry for the people who answer the phones there, as they can’t help but they’re the only people you will speak to.

Update: it's now 3 months since I was referred to the CMHT (2 months since the original review) and I have now been told that they "don't do therapy on the CMHT" and there's nothing else available in the area. How and why it's taken 3 months to tell me this, when this is precisely what I was referred to the CMHT for, I don't know.

The individuals running this service see themselves as untouchable. They apparently oversee a team which is meant to provide therapy and care for severe mental health patients. When in reality all they provide patients with is lies and false promises of therapy and help, then eventually drop them and tell them there's no therapy.

Third parties have even approached the CMHT to offer their help and assistance. But this has been unprofessionally batted away by the CMHT, despite my explicit permission for them to do so. I can only think that this was for fear of someone outside the team seeing what's really going on there.

I cannot fathom how this service is allowed to continue, especially as (supposed) public service.

I understand that the NHS is on it's knees. But it's nice to know that our hard earned taxes are going somewhere -- to fund layers of bureaucracy and to line the pockets if consultant psychiatrists who run several other private practices alongside their 'part time' presence in this place. I wonder why the NHS struggles for funds so much...

My psychiatrist Dr. Tremblay is a brilliant psychiatrist she is very sympathetic and understanding I have been under her care for about 20 years with bi-polar disorder. She gets straight to the point and is a very good listener. I would recommend her as a professional psychiatrist to people who have had mental breakdowns and bipolar.
