The Trowbridge Service Users group has helped me so much since I've joined. I've met so many people who help each other and we bring joy to our meetings together. I love the art and crafts we do. New members who've near done any crafting come alive with joy when they've made something themselves. We all appreciate everything mark does for the group as it wouldn't exist of it wasn't for Mark. We all make this a group that helps each other and welcomes new members joining us. Our Thursday's and adhoc coffee meetd keepd me going. I lobe this group and all the friends we have within it.

The Trowbridge group is needed as there is a sparce lack of places where people with mental ill health which may be due to a number of circumstances can meet where it is ok and safe to be who you are. Mental health services are strapped for cash and staff and do not have the capacity to help at this moment in time. There is always a warm welcome from Mark and others in the group. You can come along and leave as you wish. There is tea and coffee kindly supplied by Tesco and biscuits! All ages are catered for and there are regular art sessions with Grace from Creativeminds. Mark also runs a 'coping skills' course once a month. These sessions are based on mindfulness and cover managing anxiety and depression. These take note of what we already know from our own experiences in trying to manage our mental health problems. It doesn't matter if you don't want to talk or if you do. There are many talented people in our group who at present are trying their very best to cope with being unwell in a climate which is unhelpful. This group is an oasis and is growing in numbers.

This group is a great peer support mental health and wellbeing resource run by dedicated local people who have excellent local networks and knowledge about everything from health to benefits. The group has a holistic approach that includes spirituality, culture, music and art and it is a brilliant place for people to get together for friendship and support.

For me this is a place I can go where I'm not judged ,the people are very kind and understanding ,if your not up for chatting then no one pushes you to talk . For me the long Art day sessions are really helpful and for that day I can just forget everything in the outside world, switch of my phone and just enjoy which things are on offer.

Also the chap who set it up is very well read on benefits which is really helpful especially as I can't cope with paper work anymore

I would really recommend poping along even if you just fancy a chat always get a and coffee on tap which is always nice x
