We couldn’t miss visiting such a historic place! The vibe and atmosphere were wonderful. We stopped by during the day and could only imagine how lively it must be at night. The cocktail menu was great, and we had the chance to chat with the owner, who was lovely and shared some fascinating stories. A must-visit spot with so much history and charm!

As a straight man with several gay family members and friends, I was made to feel very welcome at the Stonewall Inn.
I felt it important whilst visiting New York to visit the pub and the square across the road.
All in all, it is a very nice bar with an important historical place in society.

We wouldn't have the same rights and opportunities without what trans people did at Stonewall. Trans is beautiful and trans lives matter. Be loud and proud always 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

I’ve been wanting to visit this bar for so long. I’m so glad we finally made it in on Tuesday. Great place, stacked with history. Good vibes as soon as we walked in. Fun music, not too crowded, friendly bartender, Peggy. She was great, entertaining us some cool stories and turned us on to the Stonewall Inn IPA. You know the place is iconic when they have their own beer! We planned on just having one, but stayed for a few because we were having such a good time. Highly recommend!

It’s not a safe space for broke gays, male or female, to be, and for women who don’t look super gay like my femme lesbian friend who the female bartenders are always really rude to even though she’s super quiet and nice. Drink minimums at every show upstairs. &they aren’t nice when letting you know. I don’t get it. Queens have to get paid. But we can communicate kindly together in this community. Having community when struggling would be a life saver. Literally. So sad 😞
Tonight(3/13) the female red-head bartender with glasses upstairs informed us there we had to get drinks if we wanted to see the show, and when I asked what the drink minimum was, they said, “It’s just a drink per person. The show’s free, so paying for something is the least you could do”. It was that moment we decided to leave simply because they were so rude about it. I said that we thought it was a safe space for broke gays and they said that there’s no show downstairs so it’s free there. And everything she said was in a rude way with rude tone and negative energy, so I said she could’ve said it in a nicer way and she straight up said “I am being nice”.

Absolutely worth the visit to enjoy a drink (or several) at such an important and historic venue. I even had the honor of meeting someone who was there the night the revolution began in 1969! Staff was helpful, drinks were tasty, atmosphere was lively and welcoming.
