A small garden open under the Surrey Garden Scheme.

Has a wonderful cafe and some interesting sights

The garden is split into different areas, the Italian Garden, the Cheery Blossom Walk.

A lot of sculptures and gravel walkways.

The woodland walk and the Alice in Wonderland trail are beautiful.

A decent cafe.

Parking is an issue but disabled parking is available near the main gate.

Allow 2 hours to get round, plus more for tea and cake

We had a private event and a tour of the grounds .
Magical 9 acre grounds and formal gardens . Interesting history. Lots of trails for kids to explore in the woodland . We enjoyed tea and cakes . Nice hosts . All in all very nice and pleasant afternoon . Enjoyed every minute of it. Big THANK YOU to the hosts .

The Garth is a beautiful place to visit whatever the weather.
The grounds are stunning with pretty pathways and vibrant blooms in all the seasons.
Special care and attention has been put into the features and displays. These are thoughtfully placed in various areas and appeal to all ages.
Smell the delightful scents as you wander around the gardens and then relax in the courtyard or quaint cafe as you enjoy refreshments. A variety of beverages and selection of cakes are served, all delicious and fresh!
The hosts work hard to make the experience pleasant and in keeping with the style of the property.
Overall a lovely attraction, I'd highly recommend a trip there!

If I could rate the owner a 0 I would, I came to this property Saturday to walk around the grounds as it was a lovely day.
As we were walking around we (me and my 7 year old daughter) heard who I believe is the owner talking to 2 builders in the most vile way. It’s a shame because the grounds were nice but hearing someone talk to the 2 builders in that type of way ruined the whole day for me and my daughter as I’ve raised my daughter to respect everyone.
We also went to the cafe which was dirty, I would even let my dog eat from there. They also said dogs were allowed which we thought was great as we have a Labrador who’s very friendly but doesn’t like shouting or raised voices (due to previous trauma) my dog was shaking by the time we left as the owner who I believe is called Lana was shouting at the builders. I’m not sure what happened or why she was shouting and being vile but I felt like this could have been kept private rather than in front of a young family.

Absolutely wonderful visit to The Garth in Lingfield. So much to enjoy - the animal safari is fabulous, my fave is the gorilla and big cats, with no danger as they’re statues, albeit very lifelike! Magical gardens and brilliant hospitality from the hosts. Don’t miss the tiny grotto worlds hidden in the tree roots. In fact, don’t miss any of it! ❤️❤️❤️

About 8 minute walk from local car park to the house along a busy road. Impressive ornate gates, driveway bursting with beautiful colour bushes & shrubs. A fine looking red brick house, hard to imagine it was once a workhouse! No entry into the house which is now split into small cottages.
The gardens were stunning with various features. Easy walking getting around it all. Fun trails for children. The tea room offered various cakes & beverages. Overall a very pleasant experience.
