The Clay Rooms is a wonderful place. I’ve just finished my sixth six week course leaning to throw on the wheel and I’ve enjoyed every minute. Sarah is an endlessly patient and encouraging teacher & the classes are very friendly & supportive. Plus there’s a great cafe for coffee & cake afterwards. I’ve learnt so much, (still a lot to learn…) but enough that I feel confident enough to take the next step and become a member to continue my throwing journey! There’s also hand building courses, taster sessions & other workshops, I spent a brilliant day learning about Raku firing at Wildhive. I would really recommend checking out the Clayrooms .

I did a throwing course a few months ago and I totally loved it! Sarah and Helen were really helpful and very supportive of both myself and my daughter (who also did the course) at the time when we were both going through some personal stuff. Their teaching and guidance is amazing and I will be back! Lucky enough to get a gift voucher for my birthday last year: will engineer an escape from my pub to come and make use of it! Going to try hand-building next time! Totally reccommend.

Lovely couple of hours spent as a group of ladies celebrating a special birthday. Tea, biscuits and a giggle creating little clay love birds. Our tutors were very accommodating and welcoming too. Would definitely recommend!

I have been coming to The Clayrooms 6 week courses for a few years now and keep coming back for more. I've made lots of lovely things and had a brilliant time too. Sarah and Helen are great teachers and the whole pottery family are really friendly and welcoming. Fun and relaxing, this is the ultimate mindfulness. There's lots of variety in what sessions are offered and the addition of a lovely coffee bar with great coffee and cake is an added bonus! Highly recommend for anybody who wants to try something new or just needs a bit of me time!!

Had a fantastic time with my partner for a sculpting session.
Loads of fun and a great laugh. Really friendly and helpful throughout their teaching.

Can’t wait to come back for the throwing session in a few weeks time.

This place is totally addictive! I’m on my forth 6-week course. Came in as a complete beginner and have had such happy times learning new skills and meeting lovely people. Sarah and Helen are THE most charming and helpful teachers - endlessly patient and kind! Delicious coffee in the little cafe is the perfect icing on the best morning of my week. Highly recommended.

We went to the ClayRoom twice, once for a sculpting workshop and then for a throwing workshop. Both time were brilliant, the girls were super nice and friendly. They explained the process in an easy and efficient way.
It was a great experience we're hoping to repeat soon
