Very much PRO drugging children. Dr asked me "How would you feel if you didn't put your child on [Amphetamines] and they ran out into the road and were killed ?" effectively GUILTING me into drugging my child. Very much a *HARD SELL*.
Their _reviews_ are based upon how they should change the dosage, change the drug, or manage side effects rather than whether we should dial down and see if we can cope without drugs.
6 years later, trying to get them to put together a withdrawal plan has taken 6 months and is like pulling teeth.

Okay first thing they judge you and the room are very empty horrible for children and they don't even help and the Appointments are often moved .I wish I could rate this a zero but I can't so a one.

Appointments are often moved, staff turnover seems high so never sure when or who the next appointment is with. None of this matters though because all the appointments seem to be with someone who clearly does not have basic training to understand the issues or offer support/advice. The more 'senior' staff (I have met one) seemed competent although I suspect this was driven more from a 'required by law' perspective. The level of CAMHS support offered in Buckinghamshire is basically none existent.

I'll mostly be writing my review about the "main" hospital (as opposed to the complex needs service which I've never been to) but to me, the Sue Nicholls centre is filled with overworked and underqualified "professionals" who look like they need more mental health assistance than the people they are helping.
The centre itself, although clean, is also easily escapable if you try hard enough, with the fire escape almost directly next to the keycard door being unlocked and not alarmed. On top of that, people using the women's bathroom by the main waiting area can be heard through the walls.
As for the care though, I can't speak for the rest of the staff there but I've never felt more unheard and like my needs aren't going to be met than while speaking to many of their consultants. While under camhs and the care given there I've had many of the psychiatrists arrive late to my appointments (which is somewhat understandable seeing the state of camhs and mental health at the moment), blatantly ignore medication warnings in order to prescribe medication for things that I personally viewed as minor problems in order to "treat" other symptoms, which unsurprisingly made things worse, and just generally give subpar care that I hope is not the standard for mental healthcare in general.
Overall I would not recommend the Sue Nicholls centre for their care or the overall ambience of the centre itself, as it somehow feels both clinical and sloppy at the same time, which is the worst combination for a place that (as far as I'm aware) predominantly deals with mental health. However, I am giving it two stars for not being beyond terrible and also for the staff obviously doing the best they can with the limited amount of budget and staff that they clearly have.
