My daughter has been at SUD for almost a year and it’s like she’s always been a part of the family.
From day one she was welcomed by not only the teachers but the other students too.
The teachers care so much and it’s clear to see when they support and cheer the students on, giving them the confidence to step outside their comfort zones.
I’ve helped behind the scenes when there’s a show to rehearse for, and the children are so kind to each other, regardless of age and you can see that they want to do their best for the teachers.
My daughter’s confidence has gone from strength to strength and she loves SUD so much she quickly went from attending one class a week to two and is loving competing and being a part of the shows. She also helps out in the younger classes too.
If you want your child to be part of a family and not just a dance school then Straight up dance is the place for you!! Xx

Iona has been with Straight Up Dance since Year 1, and now she's in Year 9. From the very beginning, she absolutely loved it. In fact, she’s even taken on Dance GCSE! The school has provided her with incredible opportunities, from performances and competitions to visits from professional guest dancers, all of which have been a huge inspiration to her.

Beca and her team teach with such passion, dedication, and heart. Even though there are times when I might think the workload is a bit much, my daughter has never once considered skipping a lesson, or even the extra sessions. It’s clear that Straight Up Dance is doing something truly special because she’s so focused and serious about her dance.

I don’t see this as just a dance school – it’s a wonderful community that nurtures not only dance skills, which will be valuable in the future, but also meaningful friendships and a strong understanding of teamwork.

The atmosphere is always upbeat and full of joy. Huge respect to Beca and her incredible team!

Between the theatre shows and street dance competitions she has never been so confident and this is only the start! Becca and her team are soo good with all the kids, it’s great for the kids character and self esteem! X

My daughter has been at straight up dance for many years she absolutely loves it. Since joining Becca and her team she has blossomed from a shy little girl into a confident outgoing joyful performer. I love the way everyone cheers each other on and is 💯 supportive. This theatre school has something that is very special, I highly recommend it.

Amazing dance class. Rebecca, Amy and team take such good care of their students and my daughter loves every second of her classes and has learnt so much in a short space of time. Students are also so supportive of one another which is lovely to see. Highly recommend.

Straight Up Dance is hand down the BEST Dance school for adults who have always wanted to dance! I had never danced before and joined Straight Up Dance in my thirties and I am hooked! I have performed in two shows now in different street and commercial styles and I just love it! Beca is the most creative, talented, patient teacher who knows the perfect formula to bring the inner dancer out! I have made friends for life through Straight Up dance and can't wait to get in the hall each week for our dance class!

Absolutely brilliant Dance School! My daughter was part of the crew who competed at the Essex Street Dance championship over the weekend and they did amazingly well! It was such wonderful experience and so much fun for the whole crew and the dances were amazing! They came back with some well earned and deserved trophies! My daughter has gained so much confidence since joining the school. She absolutely loves it there, from the amazing teachers to the students, it's like a big family!

I joined Straight Up Dance when I turned 40, with no previous background in dance. The school has classes for absolute beginners right through to advanced. I also love that any age can join. Beca and all the teachers make the classes fun whilst also being challenging. I would recommend everyone to be a part of the magic 💃🫶🏻🤩
