Recently did a 6 week beginner course and I will definitely be going back for a 12 week all levels course soon! It was my first time doing pottery and the teachers we had were so incredibly skilled and helpful - breaking all the concepts and techniques down in simple ways. The space is beautiful and is truly such a relaxing way to disconnect and spend a few hours on the weekend.

This was one of the best gifts given to me. I finally managed to book into a taster session gifted by my partner and we loved it. It was somewhat therapeutic moulding clay in your hands for a couple of hours and learn some new skills. We left having made a couple of new pieces which we can’t wait to have in our kitchen and created fun memories. And the studio is super cool. Would highly recommend.

Fun enough afternoon on the taster class. Adele was lovely and helpful and I’m looking forward to getting the pot back.

Felt very cramped in there though. Probably not for you if you’re claustrophobic and there are 12 people crammed around the table. Would be a great thing to do as a group of friends if you had the space to yourselves.

I joined a 12-week pottery course at SkandiHus and I loved every minute of it. It was on Thursday evenings and everyone who came to class was so exhausted after a long week at work so we really appreciated coming to a peaceful studio to unwind and make something with our hands. Our instructor Chris was very talented and helpful, more so when I went to him with a project I’d like to finish by the end of the course. I made a gorgeous cake stand and Chris helped me every step of the way with helpful suggestions and techniques. I highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in learning pottery.

Really really enjoyed the 12 week class I took with James... It was a wonderful, calming addition to my hectic work week. James was very patient and encouraging, and had lots of great advice and tips. I can now throw on the wheel without wrecking my pieces every time, thanks James! Also made a really cool lamp during the class, which I'll treasure. Good vibes, really recommend.

A really interesting and fun day spent at Skandihus 'Taster' day. There is a real warmth and understanding from these guys who really have a passion for all things ceramics. The good thing about the Taster day is that you don't need any form of training to enjoy the day, as their training is catered for all- comers. Dive into the unknown world of pottery at Skandihus...you will not be disappointed.
