We had an absolutely fantastic team event at School of Wok! From start to finish, the entire event was very well-organized by Hannah and we had so much fun on the night.

We had the opportunity to cook a variety of delicious dishes, including Drunken Chicken & Prawn Wontons, Five Spice Chicken Stir-Fry, and Bacon & Cranberry Fried Rice. For dessert, we made an indulgent Matcha & White Chocolate Cheesecake, which was a hit with everyone.

Our chef created a relaxed, fun atmosphere that made the whole event to so much more enjoyable. (Unlike some other cooking classes where everything feels rigid and "military-style," the chef here allowed us to (& encouraged us to) enjoy the whole process rather than just follow strict instructions. We got to be creative, ask questions, and really have fun with the cooking. The dumpling "pinching" was very entertaining!

What made the experience even more special was that we cooked additional food to be donated to The Gospel Church of Jesus Christ charity. It felt great to contribute to such a worthy cause while enjoying the cooking process together as a team.

The team at School of Wok was incredible - knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive throughout. They guided us through each step with ease, making sure we all had fun while learning some amazing culinary skills. I would highly recommend the School of Wok for anyone looking to host a memorable event or simply learn how to cook fantastic Asian-inspired dishes. We will definitely be back to cook up another storm! Thank you for having us.

The Thai class with Ian was fantastic. A great selection of recipes brilliantly taught by Ian, who was a kind and thoughtful teacher and host all day long. We left well fed and with plenty of Tupperwares. 100% recommend.

Accessible teaching school in a convenient area. A great place to go if you're completely unfamiliar with cooking different Asian cuisines as the instructors are friendly and informative and they provide all the ingredients and tools. Depending on the class, you end up having a meal with the other participants which is a really nice touch.

I wouldn't recommend this if you are quite experienced; the food is pretty under-seasoned and you have to use a wok on an induction hob which is obviously for safety reasons but of course is not traditional.

We had an incredible experience at School of Wok for our company team-building day! We chose the Japanese menu, and it was a hit with everyone. Our chef, Kiki, was amazing—full of energy, very knowledgeable, and made the cooking process fun and easy to follow. The dishes we created were absolutely delicious, and Kiki provided helpful tips that we’ll definitely be using at home.

A huge bonus was that, as part of our company's CSR initiative, we were able to donate half of the food we made to charity. It made the experience even more meaningful for our team, knowing that we could enjoy our day while giving back. Thank you, School of Wok, for a memorable day. We’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique team-building experience!

Ok, where do I start!

Positives:
Incredible experience led by an extremely competent & wonderful chef in Kiki, she was absolutely fab & helped us novices every step of the way.
Lance was just as amazing (more like a silent partner), kept on eye on everything that was left cooking in the kitchen, tidied our messy stations & kept the drinks flowing - a fantastic duo whom deserves the upmost praise bestowed upon them.
Really easy to follow tuition throughout.
A really fun & incredibly lovely bunch of fellow novices, who made the whole experience quite a few notches above expectations - thank you for making myself & my friend’s venture into the unknown Asian cookery world an experience we won’t forget.

Negatives:
Absolutely gutted that I didn’t arrange for the collective to sort out a tip for Kiki & Lance…. & even more so that at the very least, I didn’t personally give them something as appreciation of their time, skill, professionalism & downright wonderfulness (& that’s just for putting up with me!!).

Overall:
Book & go.
What a wonderful night out, so much food & just as much fun.

Message to management:
Give Kiki & Lance a wage rise- because whatever they’re earning is not enough.

I attended with my brother today and learned to cook the Chinese Classics. Pancake Rolls, Special Fried Rice, Sweet n Sour Pork, Chicken and Cashew Nut and Hong Kong Noodles! Absolutely amazing food we made, we will be back to try the Thai class too! Thank you so much

The activity was incredibly fun and well-organized. The teacher and the team were fantastic—engaging, knowledgeable, and professional. The venue was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere. The ingredients used were of excellent quality, and while the recipes were simple, we gained a lot of valuable insights. It was the perfect blend of team-building fun and culinary learning. We would absolutely consider them for future events and highly recommend them to others.
