I stayed here in January 2024 after an attempt on my own life. Having a place where I didn’t have to think about the outside world and find peace was incredibly helpful in my recovery. The home treatment team can visit you at the house and they did every day. They have food, books, crafts, tv and a lovely peaceful outside garden. The bedrooms are basic but the house is so calming. You work with the staff to create aims and a plan to aid your recovery. The staff are so kind and lovely and always there to offer a cuppa and a chat.

For me, I asked the staff to keep hold of my meds and my ID. My main aim was to be able to leave the house and not be frightened of attempting again. They would call me whenever I left the house to check in. It took 3-4 days but by the end of it I was in a much better place mentally and finally felt ready to face life.

It’s now November and I can say that things do get better. I have a job I love, a partner I adore, I live life to the fullest and experience joy. It gets better.

This place changed my life and I’m so glad it exists.

Note: this is a place that you can come and go freely and communicate with the staff where you are going. The doorbell rings as you enter and leave. If you need more intensive support discuss with your healthcare provider or hospital team.

I was not here myself but my 19yr old daughter was. Whilst she was under their care and supervision.
With in a week of moving into this accommodation my daughter was in the POLICE STATION (SHEPCOCK LANE).
Then with in the next 7days she was up in front of the magistrates court and remanded to PRISON (HMP & YOI NEWHALL.
Now my daughter is currently in HMP & YOI FOSTERN HALL PRISON.

Very nice staff... But it's a pretty useless service. You don't do anything. It needs to be a more integrating system. Something to do, people to talk too. All you can do is go out, watch TV or lay in your room. Not much else really. Again, nice staff but overall not extremely helpful.
