I was in here for about 3 weeks during November/December of last year and very quickly put back on the medication I needed. Staff never failed to check on me to see if I was okay and would always wake me up for breakfast or let me know when lunch and dinner was. I was offered to come off the ward and play a game of Table Tennis in the main hall by staff which I enjoyed but preferred it on the ward. There are a few activities to do but I mainly played Pool or stuck my head in books until the time passed. I was very well looked after.

Staff were very nice and good at always updating me on what was happening next. Maybe too nice though, I've never been offered so much to drink in my life, which became annoying. Really needed the reassurance they gave me, was scary being 136'd.

Ultra caring, helpful nursing staff - I’ve not experienced such a beautiful team for decades until being in this unit. Would have been a healing experience if the trauma-informed care actually reached the psychiatrists. The consultant is dismissive, doesn’t engage in trauma-informed care, and is actually really horrible in manner and decision-making, leaving out the opinion of the most important person in the room ie the patient. She completely blew the healing experience out of the water, it was no longer healing but harmful. Trauma-informed care needs to lie at the heart of psychiatric admissions, and somehow psychiatrists need to be answerable to this approach too. I’ve been really ill mentally since being in there. The psychiatrist triggered so many horrific flashbacks. Admittedly I reacted out of feeling under threat. But I’m now so ill. It could have left me more trusting of humanity, as the nursing staff mostly were so beautiful to me, but the lack of listening ability by the consultant has retriggered awful memories and now I am so ill.

Very helpful especially wen in need of my mental health problems staff are nice and really caring it may seem like they don't at times but they actually do really care and they have definitely been helping me and my problems in a way there a blessing as I needed help and they accepted me for help and I can't thank them enough for there help I'd recommend there help it's been a 10/10 service to me it seems a little strange at first being on a ward but the staff made me feel welcome and like I'm a person

Update :- same place just a different ward but my review stays the same lovely staff that listen or help and my problems I'm getting help with made me feel slightly worry free so my review stays the same amazing help and understanding staff 10/10 I would give to the help I'm getting

In 2022 from April till August I was at the Radbourne unit with severe Psychosis and then developed Catatonia. After 12 sessions of ECT I finally was discharged. The staff were amazing. Thank you for saving my life and giving my family updates and a peace of mind and hope that I will recover. 🙂

Great staff right from the lovely receptionists right through to the neuropsychiatrist who I saw. All patients are treated with the upmost respect and dignity.
There should be more units like radbourne around the country to help suffers of mental health disorders like myself.

I’ve been here, sleeping on waiting area for 10 bight Redbone unit Ward 34 it was not the fault, very friendly Doctors and nurses many thanks for them and I’m very happy about the service, but one cheater and manipulator from emergency department. Try to manipulate me and talk me under the pressure for several months if anybody coming here make sure to raise your complain sometime you may get miniplate and gaslighted form emergency you could come wrongly here, but the staff are very friendly. It was not the department fault and they help me a lot and money. Thanks for it. Very friendly doctors and nurses
