Jo is an amazingly easy person to talk to, by my second appointment I felt comfortable to talk about my life and issues I have.

Having weekly appointments was really good for me to unload and rethink about the things that bother me.

I still have a way to go but I am very thankful to Jo for listening, understanding and having such a caring nature.

Service has been amazing, i very much look forward to each session

Kiran has helped me a lot in the short time, her way of approaching topics makes me feel like I'm talking to a friend. She makes me feel more confident and less ashamed of the things that trouble me.

I would firstly like to thank our roots CIC for having an exceptional variety of therapist. I had multiple therapy sessions with Charlotte, who for one by far the best therapist I have ever come across. Having being a patient of therapy for more years that I can count, I can hand on heart say I never really learnt or understood what real therapy was until I met Charlotte. Not only did she allow me to feel accepted but she also made me feel like the best, most real, version of myself and I will forever be grateful to her for allowing me a safe space to speak with her so openly!

I recently finished counselling with Jennifer. I was hesitant at the beginning as I have never had therapy before. My experience has been amazing as Jennifer has been patient as it’s been challenging to open up to a stranger. I feel that in the moment of the sessions it can be a lot to process but I notice is the change that comes after no matter how small I have been able to implement space for me to commit to achieving things I never done before and credit to Jennifer for the way she has helped me by using formulations and explaining them in simple terms to help me understand myself. I had the privilege of having Saleema as my therapist, who is both incredibly kind and deeply caring, while also maintaining strong, healthy boundaries ( I feel I needed these exact traits in a therapist).
I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a therapist who knows how to offer both emotional support and clear guidance. ( Compared to other therapists/ services where I felt like just another number).

Jennifer Hemmings has been amazing, so kind and compassionate. Even after I was unnecessarily irritable on the phone during my bad days or when I’d miss appointments she always made time for me. Jo at Our Roots is a brilliant counsellor and has been a great help to me. She was flexible in arranging appointments and always incredibly polite and helpful.
