My husband and I did the air boat tour with Captain Curt. I cannot recommend this tour enough. It was prompt, well run, educational, and so much fun. With only 9 people per boat, it’s a very intimate tour experience. Curt had a deep personal knowledge of the area and a special relationship built with many of the birds and gators allowing for a very up close and personal experience. The boat is comfortable and they provide ear protection for the loud motor. This is definitely a must do for a New Orleans trip for families, couples, or group trips. If you’re stuck between the (less expensive option) pontoon boats or the air boat, I can say without a doubt, the air boat is worth the extra money.

We did the Magazine Street foodie tour. First off, our guide Adelaide (maybe spelling this wrong) was so fun and knowledgeable! We just loved having her as our guide! The food was all fantastic, and a great variety including some Cajun fusion items. The tour came with a great drink at the first stop, and we were able to purchase other amazing cocktails at other stops. There is A LOT of food included in the tour, and an incredible value! Definitely arrive with an empty stomach. This was some of the best food in New Orleans so you'll want to have room for every bite! I would definitely do this tour again!!

My son and I had a really fun time. Adelai was great. Loved her energy and enthusiasm. My favorite moments involved the pendulum in the wine room and the pendulum and the crystals. Don’t want to say too much and spoil the fun for anyone who takes this tour in the future.

Our guide, Adelai, was incredible! Personable, funny, and very knowledgeable. You could tell she was genuinely passionate about the topic of voodoo and New Orleans folklore—it wasn’t just something she read a script about, it was something prevalent in her life. She answered every question confidently and in detail. My boyfriend and I got everything we wanted from the tour, and got to go to some NOLA stops that we’d never been to before.
The stories she told were based in historical fact, not hyperboles for the sake of entertainment. If you like learning about history this is the tour for you, hands down. LOVE the small group size, had a lot of fun getting to know our tour guide and the rest of the people in our group.
I’m not necessarily a local (I live on the Northshore), but my whole family is from the city and I could tell that she knew what she was talking about. I actually recommended a tour to my grandmother who’s lived in Metairie for 80 years, lol. Can’t wait to come back and experience another New Orleans secrets tour!

Our guide Adelai was wonderful. We learned about the religious and occult history of New Orleans, the orishas and L’wa, and more! The small size of the tour and vast knowledge of Adelai led to an individualized experience catered to our questions and interests: even though it was a voodoo history tour, we also learned about New Orleans architecture, cemeteries, and queer history! Highly recommend and thank you for the great day and excellent gumbo recommendation 😀

Our tour was amazing! We got a balance of the lore that has shaped New Orleans’ character and the hard history this city confronts as a result of enslavement and its brutal legacies. From vampires to nuns to evil haunting doctors at converted hotels, this tour is a must-do for anyone who wants to learn more about the mystery and richness of this city.
