I really enjoyed Julia’s tour. She was very thoughtful and asked for our interests and preferences yet gave a lot of personal insights and favorites, since I trust that she knows the collection inside and out. Julia is an incredible guide with a unique approach. My visit with her to Tate Modern was my third time there, but I felt new emotions and gained a deeper understanding of paintings I already saw before. Even the few that I spent like 15 minutes staring at before.

The practice of slow-watching with Julia's context-setting tales and guiding questions were truly mind and soul opening.

I used to hate human-guided tours and would prefer audio-guides, but now I wonder if I ever want to visit a museum without Julia again:)

I definitely recommend cashing out for a private tour if your finances allow for the extra personal touch.

So impressed by this tour! Julia is incredibly knowledgeable; full of energy and humour. She cleverly adapted the tour to my ageing parents' needs but gave us two hours of fascinating and inspiring insights into art and art history. You will get far more out of a visit to the Tate Modern if you book a guided tour with an Art Historian. Julia brought many of the exhibits to life, in a way labels and descriptions cannot. Julia made it very enjoyable by making the tour into a sort of quiz and made us think about what we were looking at. I am sure I would not have understood a fraction of what we were looking at without her lively explanations.
