Moved house and was told by my therapist not to change my address at the doctors as we wouldn’t be able to continue our sessions, so I didn’t change my address. A few weeks later had a session with my therapist, she was aware how vulnerable I was at the time and then rang me back after my session to tell me she was discharging me even after knowing how unsafe I felt. She told me to change my doctors the same day so I did and 2 days later I’m still not registered as this process can sometimes take weeks, I have no access to any support. I urgently need help yet the person who was supposed to be helping me has just discharged me with no further support. Disgusting. These “therapists” should not be looking after vulnerable patients when their main focus is funding and money and not on their patients wellbeing.

Wholeheartedly regret signing up to this but what can someone do in a situation they have no choice and need help? And the only people that can potentially help them turned me away because no permanent address which is not possible for me to obtain at all. I feel disgusted I opened up and revealed traumatic information to people who did not care at all and left me a in a vulnerable state all on my own but covered their own backs by just giving me emergency services details which I already had? They did nothing but make me feel much worse than before, broke my trust and showed they care nothing about me and mental health at all. I would never go to them again or recommend them to people who are in desperate need and vulnerable for mental health.

After my 'first' session I was discharged for something I ALREADY told them during my initial 'assessment'...felt like both calls were a waste of my time.
You open up to these people and tell them about the most vulnerable aspects of your life and the make it clear that they really DON'T CARE.
I'm still waiting for them to give me an update about this but I wouldn't hold my breath. I would avoid them at all costs.
If they can change my mind and actually provide a service I might change my review but right now I feel so much worse and wish I never asked them for help. I was coping better on my own.

Used the service several times over the last 10 years and I've had nothing but positive experiences. A lot of it comes down to the therapist you get, and you should always ask for someone else if you don't click with the first person you're assigned. I've never had to wait more than 3 months for support (which I know can be a long time but funding is tight everywhere, not the services fault). Only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that I wish they offered more types of support instead of just group/CBT/counselling as I've been in and out of MH services for years and the same cycle of stuff doesn't always work for me anymore.

Had to wait 3 months to get put on a course and by the end was left worse than I was when I started. I was crying my eyes out and begging to talk to a therapist when they decided to discharge me and all the woman said was "Well according to our results you're doing better, so come back in 3 months if you still think it hasn't helped" and hung up. It's been 2 years and frankly the only reason I feel better is because I know I will never go back again.

Why my GP offered me this service i have no idea the counseller i had which i wont name her bit she has 0 confidence i sat in a waiting for 20 mins in complete silence in an empty waiting room not something you need. She kept checking her watch and voice wobbled when talking how can i have confidence in someone who has 0 of it!!! Wont be returning sorry to say on the upside she had a nice picture of lake district hanging on wall 👏

I was referred to this place last year as I had some issues and i was quite excited because I thought that they will really be able to help me. But i got the total opposite of what I expected. I got a few phone calls from them and i was asked to describe whats troubling me and while speaking with them its felt like a interrogation and as a result of that i felt humiliated because I was telling them personal stuff about my self and they were just asking more questions. At no point did i receive any help at all from these people whats worse is that the person i was speaking with didnt seem interested at all.
I felt more suicidal after speaking with them so after a week or so i discharged myself.
I can only speak from my experience so if anyone is ever referred to this place i strongly recommend to reject their services.

I was on a waiting list for 8 months after my initial phone assessment in 2021. The in-person sessions then consisted of me being talked at for an hour by a therapist spieling off what sounded like a script of all the scientific reasons behind why it's my fault I'm depressed and suicidal. I didn't have the chance to speak about how I felt without being interrupted. All it did was make me worse.
