Free entry to this wonderful museum (cash only donations), located in the beautiful village of elstow. Centred partly around John bunyan, his works and times. There are many wonderful links to him as well as items from the local area, such as doors from cells in Bedford jail. Well curated, excellent friendly volunteers. The only down side is if you want to make a donation or buy from the little shop then it is cash only.

The well-kept building with a well-maintained exhibition. The village was visited as part of a trip to John Bunyan's places, in my understanding, it was used for administrative purposes and then, apparently like shops, the meeting room is located on the second floor. By and large, there is not much to look at the exposition, but in total, it leaves a pleasant impression. Also you can get a tour from a quite knowledgeable creator which gives you a better understanding why you're there.

A true historical gem,whether local history or a particular interest in the life of #johnbunyan ,#moothall is a must go to. I personally was there in the evening on a private #paranormal #investigation. A fascinating evening & place I will definitely be returning.

Absolutely fantastic place to visit, the building has so much history attached to it. I went as part of a ghost hunting team as the venue hosts these. Clive, the curator is the fountain of all knowledge, and a fabulous guy. Cheers Clive 👍

I used to play round this building when I was an 'angelic' choir boy at Helenstow Church in the 50's. There were goats tetherd on the green which kept it mowed and manured; we used to feed them with Wall's ice cream tub cartons out of the litter bins. Just prior to Easter and Christmas, after evening practice, we took our surpluses home to be laundered and ran out in the pitch dark wearing them, screaming like banshees and rattling the letterboxes in the high street.
