We had a great time but improvements could be made.
The welcome was extremely cold and transactional. We had charges to our room that weren't ours. The rooms are too basic and dated for my taste. Breakfast was good but missed some other options like cheese, ham, some greens and healthy options...
The best part is the health club. The pool and jacuzzi really helped me relax.

I have been to Manor of Groves many times and i will be going again. I find it great for an overnight stay. The food at the restaurant was excellent and breakfast plentiful. The staff were friendly and the room clean. I love going to the health club just to relax as i love the jacuzzi. The only thing is before i book i make sure the jacuzzi is working as if it is not it spoils the experience for me. See you again soon

The staff are lovely but clearly require more training! The rooms are superb but do need updating a little plus the plumbing was terrible making a constant noise throughout our stay. Didnโ€™t feel the point in complaining as this has been going on for some time now.

Now, I can't knock the staff, as they were hard workers, but clearly the management didn't put in as much effort as the staff!! ||For the waiters to walk the black bin bags of rubbish, whilst I'm eating my dinner, isn't the greatest experience! |Also, for only half the restaurant set up for the evening, wasn't inviting! And then to top it off, none of the correct meals went to the correct tables, and there was was only 5 tables ๐Ÿคท. ||Rooms very nice though ๐Ÿ‘

I attend the gym here but have stayed in the hotel too. Itโ€™s a lovely country club feeling gym and hotel. Equipment is aged and not looking its best but the place is clean and the classes are really good. It will be very busy in January as all gyms are and difficult to get a class (even when booking 7 days in advance). The pool is clean, but the changing rooms often get dirty from day guests (particularly the menโ€™s Iโ€™m told). Recommend bringing flip flops to get to the pool.

The room was clean, the pool was amazing, the steamroom was really powerful and rejuvenating. The breakfast was lovely and we even got vegetarian sausages upon request.

Only two small things that were surprising no hand wash in the bathroom and no tissue box in the room.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Gave us a heater as our room was initially a bit cold.

The Manor of Groves in High Wych certainly sets the scene for a delightful afternoon tea. The building and location are truly stunning, creating an air of elegance and grandeur. However, I was left somewhat disappointed by the service, which unfortunately fell short of expectations.

While the sandwiches were freshly made and the cakes flavourful, the scones were overcooked and dry. This was a real shame, as good scones are the cornerstone of a memorable afternoon tea. To compound the issue, we found it difficult to attract the attention of staff when we wanted to order more drinks, or indeed, to request some fresh scones. For a special occasion like a birthday treat, this lack of attentiveness was a bit of a downer.

Overall, the Manor of Groves offers a beautiful setting for afternoon tea, but the experience was marred by dry scones and inattentive service. With a little more focus on these areas, it could truly live up to its potential.

We stayed at Manor of Groves Hotel and Spa, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure I felt right at home. The hotel itself is set on beautiful grounds, and the combination of historical charm and modern amenities creates a perfect balance.

The room was spacious, clean, and offered stunning views of the gardens. I especially enjoyed the spa facilities โ€” they were top-notch! The treatments were incredibly relaxing, and the indoor pool, sauna, and steam room provided the ultimate retreat for unwinding. The fitness center was also well-equipped for those looking to stay active during their stay.

Dining at the hotelโ€™s restaurant was a highlight as well. The menu featured a variety of delicious options, and every dish I had was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Breakfast was equally enjoyable, with plenty of choices to suit all tastes.

Overall, Manor of Groves is a wonderful getaway spot for anyone looking to relax and recharge in a serene and elegant setting. I can't wait to return for another stay!
