After my nephew who is disabled and has severe learning difficulties was admitted to lings bar it was a worrying time for the family . There was absolutely no need what an amazing place each and every staff member went out of there way to make sure Jordan who was admitted with severe dermatology issues was looked after like he was family of their own . We can’t thank you all enough and I know Jordan is going to miss you all.
Me personally would like to say a massive thank you to Donna and Claire they went above and beyond and to see you both cuddle him and be like mothers to him your absolutely amazing angels in disguise.
Thank you a million times over all of you such an amazing team x

My mum has been in Lings bar hospital. Couldn't thank them enough, her care was very good on the Forest ward. The nurses and staff very friendly and helpful. Had good meals while there and plenty of interaction with the physio to get her walking again after a fall.

My mother in law was recently admitted to King's Bar upon first visit I was challenged by a matron asking me to leave and was told that I could only stay for 1 hour. I do think visiting times and expections should be displayed clearly. The other staff were very kind and caring but the matron on duty was very aggressive and rude.

Mum has just left Castle Ward after spending 6 weeks there. The care and attention she received was outstanding. Everyone is extremely helpful and have the time to talk to you (both face to face or by telephone) and explain how things are going. We were kept very well informed throughout the duration of her stay on the ward. A big thankyou to everyone on Castle Ward.

My mother has recently spent a few weeks at Lings Bar Hospital in the Castle Ward, I cannot thank enough everyone who works there who cared for my mother while she was in there for rehabilitation. The staff are very friendly and personable. The meals are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Everywhere was spotless and well organised. On behalf of my mother Margaret Joan Crofts, thank you very much.

This has to be one of the worst places for care of patients. My elderly mother went in here after suffering a fall and unfortunately ended up in the Forest Ward. The level of care was non existent. My mother granted had a bit of dementia but there was no engagement with the patients and zero effort made in treatment or rehabilitation. There wasn’t even a tv or radio. My mother lost about 3 stone in weight and eventually came home emaciated and in no fit state to be at home. They just couldn’t wait to get rid of her. The staff couldn’t even manage to arrange appointments properly during Covid restrictions and I was sent away twice because they had messed up the times. My mother passed away shortly after leaving this dump.
All I can say is if your relatives are unlucky enough to end up here then get them out of the place as soon as possible if you care for them in any way, because the staff at Lings Bar certainly won’t.

My 88 year old Dad was sent here, from QMC, for rehabilitation, with a view to him coming home (he was very poorly). He was on the John Proctor Ward.
His stay was less than a month, during which time he was allowed to become emaciated, he wasn't kept clean and he received no rehabilitation. Needless to say he died whilst in there and it breaks my heart that Dad spent the last weeks of his life in this awful place.
