I have just come home after over a week of treatment at Leighton, most of which was spent in the Critical Care Unit. The process of emergency admission through the Same-Day Emergency Care unit, to which I was referred by my GP Surgery, was smooth and I was evaluated in a timely and efficient way whilst waiting for a bed. After less than 48 hours of monitoring and treatment on the medical wards, I was swiftly moved to the CCU.
i was quite poorly, and received care that was above and beyond any expectation I might have had. All the staff, from the Consultants and specialists to the assistants and cleaning staff were kind, highly skilled and made me feel that my health and comfort was important to them. I cannot thank them enough for the exemplary care and treatment I had.

I have had the misfortune of being in 3 A & E departments in the last 6 weeks, and I have to say this is by far the worst, hard to even put it in a review just how poorly you are treated. Having explained I had Sepsis recently and have the same symptoms, tested positive as having a fever of 39c and a pulse of 135, they felt it was fine for you to stay in a cold room with barely a seat and told it would take 7-9 hours to get a doctor to look at the blood test result! Couldn't stay. Ended up seriously ill in Blackpool who were so much more professional and kinder who immediately admitted me, what a difference. I hope the hospital looks at the reviews!!

I just want to give Ross from A&E/streaming a 5 star review, I am really bad with needles and blood and he was amazing doing my blood test Thursday evening and made me feel safe and not embarrassed at all when I was nervous. Best experience I’ve had with hospital staff and he was amazing

I would like to thank Dr De Santis and his wonderful secretary Sabrina Chroudhury with all my heart. Despite the fact that my case was transferred to another hospital, they responsibly supervised this transfer, helped and supported me in every possible way. I am very happy to meet such responsive people and professional specialists. Lots of thanks.

This is a very late review but… I would like to say that i was not happy with one of the cover nurse/doctor at leighton hospital, Why? Because i walked in with my wrist facing the wrong way around and obviously dislocated or broken! I went for my scan (x-ray) to what was so painful i was screaming, crying, shouting, and out of my head. Then we got it done, i waited for at-least 4 hours finally to be told that i have ONLY sprained my wrist and a hair line fracture in two of my fingers, my gosh my fingers were fine but my wrist was not. They sent me home with nothing just two thinkers wrapped together tightly in a plaster. I was in agony all night, although i did sleep. In the morning after i woke up i was sick 5+ times due to pain in my wrist, we called the hospital to come back as something WAS NOT RIGHT! They said that they expected a call from us and we could wait in the lobby’s room, (we waited for 7 hours) we was told that i had dislocated my wrist and broke 4 fingers and they weren’t hairline fractures. They put me a cast on and i waited for a few hours without food or anything to tell me that i was going to be given kettimin -i think that’s how u spell it- and they said it would make me tired just a little bit dizzy. I trusted them and believed. How stupid of me they injected it into me and i went hella dizzy and i thought i was dying, they said that it was a out of body experience for me as to i’m watching over my self, they also said i wouldn’t remember it, oh yes i did, every single part of it.To fix my arm they pulled it (stretched) and good that was painful a middle aged man pulling your arm with all your strength, ridiculous. After i was done with the manipulation (arm procedure) they injected me with a anti sickness drug what just made me throw up more! anyway they put a cast on in the manipulation so i didn’t have to worry about it, a few days later it got wrapped with colour to protect it! Right now my arm is okay just a different length to the other! As i did dislocate my growth plate.
