Now a private school, in fact this is an excellent (part-Vanbrugh designed) ancient stately home, built on Tudor foundations that you can see. The headmaster's study is the room where Queen Catherine of Aragon died. Only open on specified Open Days, when guides and historical information are on display, which you have to book in advance, at a cost.

The castle is now a school. It’s also not the original but a new castle more or less on the site of the old one. Town is lovely and well worth a visit.
