What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Great communication from Jo before the course.
The day was simply amazing! Relaxed, a perfect pace, and extremely well explained in bite-sized chunks. It was so well organised. And incredible fun. The best bit was coming away with a hare which looked like a hare, and which I will be proud to put on show!
Jo was also very generous with teas & coffees, and happy for us to stretch and wander around her beautiful garden when we felt the need.
I would highly recommend the course. All credit to Jo for the thought that has gone into its delivery, and a big THANK YOU making it a day to remember.

I had a really fantastic couple of day attending Jo's brilliant abstract slate workshop, Jo as always is warm, friendly and welcoming. Her workshop in a lovely setting, is comfortable and really well stocked with so many choices to allow everyone to create stunning and totally individual pieces. Can't wait to return, thank you Jo!

I attended this course with three other friends on Sunday. It was excellent. Having made a hare with Jo during the summer of 2024 we see the slate art and thought it would be good to have a go at it. Pleased we did! Once again Jo's instructions and assistance is so clear and you worked at a lovely pace to achieve two slate creations - which I am thrilled with. Thanks again Jo - once again a superb day! Can highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely amazing two day sculpture workshop. Jo was endlessly helpful and encouraging, keeping all of us on track for a totally successful and beautiful sculpture to take home. Each day was packed with action and laughter while we learnt foiling, plastering and final finishing to produce our masterpieces - I so wish I could come again - best two days ever and a lovely reminder when I look at the verdigris cat in the garden ( a small running greyhound was a special bonus to take home on the second day) - well satisfied, thank you to Jo and Andy who built such imaginative armatures, and thank you for sharing your lovely home and garden with us during the workshop.

Jo's 1 day hare sculpture course is amazing, I dont know how we fit so much in one day! Jo is friendly, fun, and a great teacher. We had a wonderful time and were really pleased with our creations. Would definitely recommend!

The second time I have visited Jo’s hare sculpture workshop day, the first with a friend, the second with my mum, what a wonderful day with an incredible facilitator as Jo calls herself. Jo is so much more than that, a truly lovely, kind and inspiring lady who really cares everyone comes away with a sculpture that is the very best of their creative self.
Jo and her husband give you a very warm welcome into their home and studio, along with their two very friendly dogs.
It’s natural to have some reservations about the day, especially if you have never attempted any sculpture work or anything particularly creative in the past but these reservations quickly disappear with Jo’s friendly and fun tuition.
I would highly recommend a day creating a hare sculpture with Jo in her peaceful and inspiring studio.

Jo is a wonderful tutor, she skilfully explained her craft, provided a bounty of materials to work with, a great studio, hospitality, and with patience, great feedback and timely suggestions was able to tutor-guide me to create two complimentary mosaics, Hare + Tortoise, completed The Race. My race to complete the two mosaics would not have got off the blocs without Jo, thank you ever so much. I will be coming back for more.
