In a world that seems to increasingly favour the rich and the greedy, with In Her Hands, Georjie and Ali have created a breath of fresh air. These workshops are not just great opportunities for the marginalised and financially insecure to learn new skills in a safe space, but also to build community and make friends and support each other. The levels of kindness, patience and consideration are next level, and all of this in a beautiful setting where food as well as connections are grown and nurtured. I can't recommend it enough. If you have any doubt about whether it's for you, cast those doubts aside and get yourself booked in. This place is really special.

In Her Hands is an incredible non-profit workshop teaching DIY skills to women and marginalised genders. I've learned loads about woodworking there - and helped to make a garden planter, workbench, garden bench - and met a lot of lovely people too. Ali and Georjie are super supportive and helpful teachers and I would definitely recommend IHH as a really friendly, inclusive, and accessible place if you're keen to learn more practical skills and feel a more empowered with your DIY.

Amazing day at the workshop learnt so much, georjie and ali taught me how to use power tools with confidence, Made a beautiful rustic foot stall from scratch. The whole day was lovely, learnt a lot of building skills, georjie taught us everything you needed to know with ease and encouragement Delicious freshly cooked lunch by Ali, all her home grown vegetables.
Georjie and Ali are so warm and welcoming and inspirational.
