Absolutely horrific experience. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. Management are very closed minded and just make excuses for mistakes made. My daughter was here for nearly 11 months and left worse than she arrived.
There were some really good staff who genuinely tried to help, but the majority of staff were unkind and bullies who tried to control patients through threats and physical restraints.
They do absolutely nothing to help prevent patients self harming. One member of staff caught my daughter cutting herself and just said "I don't care if you're cutting yourself. " and " let me know when you're finished and I'll get you something to clean yourself up" then walked away, leaving her with the tool she was using to harm herself!!!
This place is not safe to be in charge of your child.

CAMHS have been absolutely fantastic with our family. They have supported us where our daughter is in every way they can. The professionals we have working with us have become like family.

When I first met with the perinatal team I asked please donโ€™t just chuck medication at me and not do anything to actually help they assured me this wouldnโ€™t happen and that they would do work with me and get my diagnosis looked at. This was not the case medication is just thrown at you , if youโ€™re struggling more then here have more medication. Constantly cancel your appointments or turn up at different times , no work is ever done with you. Psychiatrist didnโ€™t seem to care either, felt 10 times better the minute I discharged myself from these! They do not care about you or your well being I can assure you!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST NURSE EVER ๐Ÿ˜ CELINE FORREST.

I had the opportunity of meeting with an amazing nurse at HERCULES WARD she is so respectful, humble, with a great personality, kind, caring, and a nurse filled with empathy for the services users

She has got a great leadership quality with an outstanding character and is very good at the job.
It is no surprise that everyone speaks so well about her.
Thank you for giving back to the profession and providing guidance to the next generation.

Every ward needs a CELINE FORREST !! YOU ARE AMAZING.๐Ÿ‘

My daughter is in this hospital and the staff are fantastic she was transferred from a hospital in maidenhead were she was treated really badly her meds were being given wrong so she was always sleeping so missing meals and the restraints they used were so rough she was bruised and cut since being back at hopewood hospital she is now receiving the care and attention she needs is receiving proper medicines and being looked after . I feel confident knowing that staff here are doing there best for my daughter in difficult situations they are always willing to speak with me and keep me updated overall I think they do a fantastic job.

Extremely poor when dealing with the needs of a vulnerable young girl. Changed plans at the last minute when the so-called experts are on holiday so can't be consulted.

It might be a shiny new building, but the care is appalling. My daughter was there for nine months, staying in both Pegasus and Phoenix wards. Her condition deteriorated significantly throughout that time and her experience there has left her with PTSD. The treatment she received ranged from dangerously incompetent to outright cruelty. To make matters worse, as parents we were lied to and misled by consultants.

Avoid if at all possible.
