i sincerely hoped that these reviews were false or at the very least exaggerated but unfortunately they are not so i feel although i should talk about my own experience.

Greenfield is an absolutely appalling service and ive only been with them for 2 weeks.
right off the bat as soon as i get there for my first visit i have to stand at the reception and wait for the receptionist to finish her conversation before getting seen to, which isnt that big of a deal to me but i feel like it should be mentioned as i feel it shows where their priorities are.

on monday i had to attend the haywood walk in centre as i had to have severe self harm seen to, the nurse informed us that we will receive a call from greenfields for a checkup on my wellbeing. unbeknownst to me and my mum greenfield cancelled this as i was supposed to be seen the next day. so tuesday rolls around without receiving a call or being told it had been cancelled. i finally receive a call an hour before my appointment only for me to be informed that it has been cancelled due to a family emergency and was left with no back up plan and that i cannot be seen until the following week. my mum called up the centre to see if there was anyone i could speak to and was met with an obnoxious receptionist who kept cutting her off and shutting her down.

so i call up the crisis team only to be told i have to wait for the greenfield to call me back as they are my team, which could take up to 72hours. considering they cancelled the previous call without telling us i have serious doubt theyll call me this time. so potentially i have to hang on for a full week while in crisis before getting any help.

literally the only nice thing i can say about this place is the waiting room has a nice atmosphere.

Yes, the reviews are overwhelmingly awful BUT:
The Greenfield Centre have been 'assessing' me for 3 months now.
The Lady is very kind and I feel comfortable with and trust her, which is the worst hurdle for me with everyone.

Yes, contacting them and all of the 'Helplines' is and are awful BUT:
They're awfully busy, under funded, under staffed, under resourced, under budget pressures. To imply uncaring, ineptitudes, incompetences or any forms of deliberate deceptions, is awfully unacceptable and rude. After all, 'They're only just doing their jobs.'

Yes, they're unable to actually help us and rarely manage to achieve what they promise BUT:
They're the public faces we actually meet. My Lady is clearly a genuine person trying to do a very difficult job under impossible circumstances and dominating, appalling mismanagement.

Yes, their initial questions do discover our 'triggers' and they do appear to use those against us BUT:
At our 1st meeting, my Lady also told me that: "People who think they're insane, aren't. '
That confirmed my own saying that:
" If I'm questioning my sanity, I can't have lost it."
Unfortunately, due to my own endless horrors of existence, I was not receptive to the 'subtleties' of the help available.

HOWEVER:
If you can see through it all and beyond, the answers are clearer.
There's nothing wrong with us.
We're the sane ones.
The Country and World are totally messed up.
People don't matter, only time, money and minimal effort matter.
Many of us grew up in a time where the 'Customer is right' and the 'Assistants help.'
It's changed, reversed even.
So please:
DON'T GIVE UP !
DON'T SELF HARM !
I wish to thank my Lady for her incredibly 'subtle' help BUT:
I can't get through to her.........................

Useless. They have not given me the therapeutic help I needed despite asking for over 2 years. Always moving goal posts and now won't reaccept me without a "3 month period of consolidation" to practice therapy skills that I either already do and aren't working or haven't actually been taught. I am heavily depressed and anxious to the point of it affecting my functioning. I am too "high risk" for ordinary therapy and yet greenfields who are supposed to help in this instance won't help. Receptionists also rarely answer the phone.

I'm just very disappointed to say, I was highly hoping that those reviews were fake and exaggerated, that I will actually get any help I was waiting for a long period of time. I was fearing bad outcomes deeply and reading the comments made me extremely anxious. And at the end, people there are right, I wanted to doubt that. And I apologise that I didn't want to believe in painful and shocking stories that are shared here.

At the end those people refused to support me in any way, they just told me I am discharged after initial assessment- I had to call them everyday for 3 days to get that piece of information because they didn't call me on the day they promised. This is in spite of being referred by my talking therapy centre and GP, as my problems were beyond their expertise. Their excuse is that I recently finished CBT therapy and I need to wait between the therapy blocks (they suggested I should refer back through GP after some period of time LIKE WHAT?). The therapy I received there clearly didn't work, in spite my and my therapist's efforts, as I still have moments when I feel suicidal. I am desperate to know what's happening in my head so I can help myself, as it's not in my control anymore. That's why I asked for help. I would never do it, if this wasn't my last resort.

They don't care about you. I'm sorry to say that. Don't waste your time waiting, your best chance is to go private, which I am going to do now. Plan little things you can save money on to get a psychologist/psychotherapist even every second week. Better than nothing, and I assure you that you will get nothing out of Greenfield's Centre. Sad, sad, sad.

I’m deeply concerned that this centre isn’t equipped to provide adequate care for patients with complex conditions. My son is on the edge and we’re desperately looking for help but the lack of understanding is frightening.

I'm with Sutherland but was sent to Greenfields for group therapy after waiting 8 months. I found the therapy frustrating, as the coping strategies covered I already use. I think we all did in the group of four, but I was told I had to attend all sessions to progress to further help. After 3 sessions I was told not to come anymore, as it was clear I was finding it difficult and had done it all before. Sutherland then lovingly decided for me that was it for therapy. As I'd been 'stuck for years', I have done various other types years ago, therapy clearly only makes me worse. They used the fact my PTSD got worse during the 3 sessions as further evidence. In reality who when they're told they have to do something for 8 weeks to get EMDR is not going to be triggered.
Used my own understandable trigger response against me. I found Greenfields at least to be a nicer building, and overall atmosphere in the waiting area.

They don’t even deserve 1 star. Absolutely shocking place! If anything I’d say they discriminate against mental health. Staff are unhelpful and rude. No support what so ever. Discharged for no good reason and they lie to try and cover their backs. The mental health system is doomed if this is the best we have. I hate to say but it’s no wonder people take their own life’s with places like this in place. I’m shocked and appalled at the mental health service. They also said it was a 12-18mth wait for therapy. 3 years later we still had nothing. This place wants shutting down. If as much effort was put in place as pushing vaccines we might actually get some where. It’s the vulnerable that suffer the most as not everyone has the means to go private or has family and friends support network in place. In my eyes mental health is number 1 priority and is the root of alot of our problems. Unfortunately it just gets brushed under the carpet as no one is ever held accountable! I’ve honestly lost hope for anyone suffering as it’s a constant battle to get help and support.
