I give 2 stars because they messed up the meds so uncertain each time.
I'm diabetic so I they need training due to being stuck in the stone ages. I took all my OCD control and frustration not to say I know what I'm doing and you're doing it wrong.
It's legal for them so once they have everything set up correctly (Dr/nurses this is for you) we will be more than happy to just take medication.
There was a girl there who stomped around with a sarcastic tone, question my diabetes and shouted at others to get out of the way.
I would have fired her on the spot because she increased my anxiety meaning I hated knocking on the door or seeing her so i constantly was hoping not to see her or have her in charge of my meds, always moody like she didn't want to be there. The Africans are the best because they're direct and lovely, learn a bit of pigeon Nigerian or others, a few words.
Boredom is the down side so you will find that hard but try and make it structure. Of course that's difficult but think of ways you can help yourself, step counter for pacing, chess, reading, join in with the other classes but don't worry if you just want to go to your room.
I will be newly discharged soon but like a family I will miss them so I'm going to be in contact through email about volunteering in the garden and art but the most important thing that they say to everyone and I will do myself is to fix yourself first.
I know how it works. Art and gardening also being a patient.
If you feel like they're treating you incorrectly it's because all of us are one so they don't know who we are.
I felt at first that they were trying to trick us but they need to get to know how everyone ticks which is very difficult. Art helps with that because it will show them who you're without you have to tell them which is the same as other projects.
You need headphones for your autism you can paint to music, anger, all sorts.
Because of them I have realised my brain was broken and needed fixing. Structure was my way. Take your meds and do what makes you comfortable. They are there to fix not to keep you because those beds are needed. They're not comfy but you can ask for more. Feel upset or scared I would suggest Allan or tall Tom, hard to miss and he gives a good shave but also realise that it isn't just you there so give them time and respect.
Occasionally the food is questionable but it's free you have a roof and a bed.
Take a look at the dark sides of your life then even if there's the smallest bit of light head towards that then you know your fixing a jigsaw brain. Love to everyone and thank you
Yours sincerely Matthew Aldiss

Got discharged hours after a very bad episode, it felt like a prison, went in with no phone as I had broken before detained and given a small vape, a nurse was to sit at the end of my bed and watch me. Once speaking with the psychiatrist he asked if i wanted to kill/harm my mother who lives no where near me and whom I have a good relationship with; rather than many questions relevant to my current state or my reasons for ending up here. I used a mobile phone they had provided to contact my family whose numbers I remembered. My friend then started receiving texts and then calls off of another patient after I’d been discharged & she was very worried about this as she didn’t feel comfortable a man currently in the safety ward of green lane hospital was calling non stop, she had to block after we had figured out where he said he was calling from and then threatened to show his genitalia on camera. I was an 18 year old during this time & had no support only isolated and fearful of my experience there.

Wouldn't even rate it a one, only 'one' about this was that the staff were friendly and made me feel somewhat comfortable on arrival. I was deprived of Medications which included epilepsy medications. This made me incredibly ill and at risk of seizure.

Fed a few soggy sandwiches the entire stay.

Psychiatrists and two other ladies in a formal meeting LIED ABOUT SERIOUS INFORMATION AND WILL NOT GET BACK IN CONTACT WITH ME, LIFE CHANGING.

DR MACINTYRE AND DR MUHAMMED.

Traumatised me enough on top of what i've been through already.

Disgusting, imagine a family member of yours being treated this way.

They've been actively preventing me expressing political opinions about coordinated state corruption online. They've also been undermining my right to a fair trial, subjecting me to state kidnapping, subjecting me to inhuman and degrading treatment, and attacking my freedom of conscience. They are a disgrace to the people and principles of this nation.

My mother has quite serious mental health, she’s declining quite quickly and the “professionals” keep discharging her and saying she’s ok. She keeps barricading
Herself in her room, but they say that’s ok. Not happy, disgusting “care” and old fashioned theories like electric shock therapy.

I've given two stars because the receptionist was really kind and considerate of our needs. However, the "professional" we saw for the assessment was rude, insensitive, and Patronising! Telling someone with poor mental health and learning difficulties making them vulnerable to "Just go down the job centre (WITHOUT MUM BECAUSE YOU'RE 18!) and ask about what benefits you can get" is not only insensitive considering they've never used public transport alone before and needs someone there to remember or take notes on their behalf! They're now questioning whether they're a financial burden on us!! That's Not OK. Our financial situation is none of your business. We came to you for help, not advice on how to live or mask conditions in society!! You have no idea the full extent of why we had to see you, just picked at a few issues and just decided to "tell them off" for not pulling their weight!! My advice is to steer clear of this place. This was outpatients! I dread to think what it's like in residential but judging by the reviews, I rest my case. Kindness and compassion cost nothing, and make a positive difference in someone's life!

Easy to escape if dedicated, lunch was ok. Wood plank for bed uncomfortable but the prison like vibes really set the mood. Unnecessary drugs offered, which was nice although I had to decline the generous offer before me
