I have worked for Gray Healthcare for nearly 12 years and do not regret the day I started.

It’s great to be part of an amazing team where everyone strives to succeed for the people we support.

The true belief of Gray Healthcare is that the best place for people to live their best life is within their own home and not hospital and this is achieved with everyone working together collaboratively underpinning the company values of us been inspiring, collaborative, unique, innovate and honest & transparent.

It is truly amazing to work with so many people who are so passionate in the work that we do.

This company have driven me out my home, from management to floor staff,
The bullying from grown adults coming into an autisitc home and having knowledge/access to all your triggers, and understanding of autism, and everything you educate them on. Gets used for their own entertainment on 12-24hr shifts.
Making me fear each day of my life. Staff know their job is safe and that management will have their backs. Probably becasue of the huge turn over of staff that have left. They probably don't want to lose them.
Even if they are abusive bullies.

The company name means more to them than the person. They'll cover all the abuse up. Forcing me to deal with the service user blasting heavy metal music for hours straight on the thin wall behind my bedroom,
meaning I don't get a sleep routine,
And using the other service user to tease me, whilst Sat in there with her encouraging it. The constant adrenaline & stress running through my body is effecting my physical health, no reaction is a reaction, they have the time to waste & they know eventually it will get to you. And if you don't react they will go onto the next thing, they have proven there isn't nothing they cant do.
Even putting stuff on social media, the staff particular particularly one of them is cocky and knows she can do what she wants.
Sad really from grown as adults with kids of their own. Knowing where I came from, the company like I'm their slogo, got me out of an abusive hospital that was shut down, learned my story, listened to what I went through. To treat me the same, which makes them worse! Imagine coming into someone's home knowing all of this and still doing what they do.
Disgusting company ran like a buisness.

Also smoking inside the home which is a listed trigger, and was a rule before coming here due to it being a sensory trigger, now i can't even touch my 1 year old furniture I wish I never spent loads of money on, yet they refuse to take responsibility meaning I'm financially suffering when I finally do get moved. Everyone just wants a promotion, staff get paid for ruining people lives and the company turn a blind eye, you don't even get a response back to complaints, I've never recieved my care plan once the whole 15 months I've been here, I've been refused. Yet they denied smoking as a trigger and said I need to show them this careplan that I don't have a copy off, but also denied me a copy off. AND THE LIST GOES ON.

After working here six years I can honestly say I love my job as much now as I did when I started, possibly even more as I have witnessed the journeys of the people we support and the things that they have achieved! That is the true testament of being part of a company that sticks to its values and believes in what it does.

Awful service, awful experience:
After years in hospital this service pulling me fresh out of severe trauma I'd suffered which was still raw and sucked me in with false hope.
(using the TV show I took part in on C4 Dispatched Locked Away: Our Autism Scandal to say they was everything they wasn't) I went through the transition period of getting to know 'my new staff team'.
I'd been awaiting for this service to be set up for 3 years before being discharged.
Week 1, they started pulling my staff for the lady who hadn't moved in yet next door. From then onwards I have no staff left and have to be tortured seeing & hearing people id bonded with, with the person next door whilst I have acency. knowing how difficult that was after years of not having support. From there everything changed and the lies and cover ups began. I am no better if and this is not a place I can heal, they've had chance to change this but would rather not. And the service manager is a bully, this is another care 'buisness' I'm stuck in making me ill which I fell for, when will this torture be over for me. And I fear they are going to get me sent back to inpaitents or retaliation for writing this but freedom of speach is something i stand by and my human rights which are far from honoured. So here it goes as a last resort.

Typical complaints procedure where it's within the company and just bounces back to the people you complain to and it only makes things worse rather than better, so sometimes when you are exhausted words where they can be seen or heard once that gets wasted every single day saves that little bit more energy you don't have for fighting this hell.

Support staff superb.
One of the residents came to purchase a rollator from Express Hearing and Mobility, this gentleman was accompanied by two lovely, bubbly ladies who turned out to be his support staff. The repore these three people had were electric. They laughed and joked with each other and me. This gentleman clearly appreciated these lovely ladies and their opinion. I sincerely hope I have the pleasure of meeting these wonderful people and other staff and residents again. Thank you for your custom and brightening my day. Look forward to seeing you soon.
