This square is honestly kinda peaceful when nobody’s in it. For years it’s either been filled with the less fortunate or being renovated, but now that it’s mostly empty it’s honestly kinda nice. Really dig the statue, despite not really knowing who it is. Definitely worth strolling through or maybe sitting down and having lunch at if you’re walking through or work in the area

Dirty work environment, dirty cooks, dirty park but amazing food. Heads-up! There’s literally not much dining option around walking distance so if you stay at a hotel close to this location make sure you get one for the evening when you hear for lunch before they close! You’ll be sorry

Beautiful, open air park and square in the heart of downtown DC just blocks from Dupont Circle and the White House. The square is named after Civil War Admiral David Farragut who helped command key naval victories across battles in the Atlantic and New Orleans. During the day, it’s filled with tourists and locals alike, especially near lunchtime for the flurry of food trucks. Stop by in the summer to catch a movie on Friday evenings or some midday yoga as sponsored by the Golden Triangle. And during the springtime, be sure to see the beautiful tulips on the south side of the square.

An absolutely gorgeous, verdant, urban park that is a wonderful place to come sit at a bench, drink your morning coffee, eat a meal, or just gather your thoughts and take a quick break from the DMV pace.
