The guided tour was the best aspect for us, which covers the vault & the roof. The guide was very knowledgeable & explained the history of the castle in a very interesting way. It's an extra on top of the admission charge, but we believe it's well worth it.

The museum is an excellent, hands-on experience for kids, but also rich in historic information for adults. We stayed much longer there than we anticipated because there was so much to see. A highlight of our trip.

Very nice experience. 12£ adults. Is very much worth for an additional 4 £/pp to do the tour with the tour guide to get full experience and see and hear something otherwise not available (acces to the voults). The garden next to the castle (castle park) is very nice, and it must be quite impressive when everything blooms .

What a brilliant experience! Staff were amazing! Definitely recommend doing the tour so check in advance for timings. I think it's on the hour, so you can start your visit to the museum while waiting for the tour to start. Our tour guide Roseanna (really hope I didn't butcher her name) was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller! All in all, don't miss out. Not too far from London.

We love our castle,
Great for disabled wheelchair accessible,
So interesting for all ages and great for children.

Parties at the zoo are very good fun my son Tw loved them there.
The coffee shop is good and the children love spending pocket money in the shop,
And going around the grounds the gardens are breathtakingly beautiful
The gardeners do an amazing job.

A little pricey not even concessions for over 75's. Good information upstairs, there is a lift, for the use of the castle over the ages. Downstairs a little disjointed with items from Dr Who. There is a gift shop and people to give you talks, for a price, on top of the entry fee. Overall, not worth the money, but interesting.
