This is our first visit to China Fleet but definitely won’t be our last. What a great place!||We are local and decided to stay for one night on the Sunday getaway deal. We stayed in one of the Tamar self catering apartments.||A very warm and welcoming arrival. We given a good overview of all the facilities on offer and then directed to our apartment.||The apartment was lovely. Modern and clean and it had everything you could need for a self catering break.||We went to lounge bar and watched the rugby in big screen (good result for England 😊). We then headed off to the spa. This was quite busy but we still managed to use all the facilities that we wanted.||We used the self catering in the evening and had a quiet and relaxing night in. A great night’s sleep and we were up for breakfast which was part of the deal. Delicious breakfast and attentive service.||Sensible check out time if 11:00am and you get to stay on and use all of the facilities. What’s not to love?!||Thanks to the CFCC team. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon…

Ours was a last minute booking at the end of half term. We had been recommended by a golfer friend but we did not come for golf. We were hoping to enjoy, as a family the indoor racquet and swimming facilities. The pool and flume was very good. the Aqua Spa in the same vicinity is a bonus as my wife could take herself off while I spent time with kids in the pool. The pool was busy at times. It has a sports hall for indoor racquet sports but only two courts which did get booked up quickly. The supplied equipment is low end. The restaurant is central but very 'leisure centre' in setting and food is 'ok' we found better quality in the surrounding areas. Rooms were fine, clean, but we did have to figure out pull out beds/bedding. TV's did not work as advertised. There is no bar or relaxing area in the main building for families. Adventure golf was sweet but short.

Great service from room service staff. Upon our arrival I found chocolates with a birthday card. I never told them I was celebrating my birthday at their facility so it was a nice touch.
The reception staff was very friendly and helpful.
However, the food at their restaurant would only get three stars from me.

Lovely place. Spa is very good. The only reason it I didn't give the place 5 stars is because the aqua aerobics class crowded into the swimming area a good 15 mins before the class was due to start and hindered the swimmers. I understand they do this quite frequently, and the lifeguards on duty do not stop them. There us plenty of room for them to congregate in the shallow section where they would not cause an issue.

We went to the spa. It's incredibly difficult to get through to them on the phone.
The spa was nice. It was clean and had good facilities, but they booked far too many people in there, each spa facility was filled with people and there were literal queues for access to some of the facilities. The hot tub was also room temperature.
The swimming pool was quiet but the lifeguard didn't bother to enforce a clockwise lane pattern (even though there were signs mentioning it), so we had to swim in diagonals to dodge various rude swimmers.
Overall the facilities were nice and clean, but the experience was not very relaxing.

We stayed at China Fleet for half term and had a lovely time. The location is great, there's a lot near by and the facilities were wonderful. We didn't use the gym, but did use the pool, aqua spa and barn spa - all very nice. There was quite a bit of water on the floor in the female changing rooms, but they provide towels, so I didn't mind that too much. The apartments were lovely, and spotlessly clean - even down to descaling the kettle (which was also spotless). We stayed for a week self-catering. It was a bit of a squeeze in the fridge, so had to go shopping a few times, but I imagine most people will use the restaurant or go out. The fridge did have a freezer compartment which was helpful. The beds and the bedding were excellent. I slept on the sofa bed and I don't think I've ever slept so well. It was so comfy and the sheets were really soft. It was also very quiet in the apartments, we never heard anything from the neighbours either side, and there were families on both sides. I had a couple of treatments in the barn spa and all the staff there were very nice. I went in the aqua spa every day, and although busy at times it was very good in there as well. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. All the house-keeping staff were very friendly and helpful. When writing this review, I considered taking one star off because there were a few little things that annoyed me, but everything else was at such a high standard that it seemed a bit mean to do so. The negatives: Wet changing room floor (already mentioned). During busy times at the pool it was difficult to get to the lockers, because people were getting changed in front of them because there weren't many changing rooms. (We were there at half term though, so there were a lot of families.) There was no real clothes storage in the apartment (only three desk drawers and a handful of hangers) which meant we were living out of our suitcases, that were all scattered about the floor. That might not bother some people, but if I'm staying somewhere for more than a night or two, I like to be able to unpack. The unloading area for the apartments is a bit tight. We had the misfortune of arriving at the same time as a lot of other guests, and so we were all jostling for space. Admittedly every other time it was quiet, but it didn't create a good first impression for us. Over all thought we loved it, and we'll definitely come back.

Lovely 2 night stay at China Fleet. Fab spa, great food. Close to Saltash which has a small number of shops/cafe's if you need any basic essentials. Caught the train to Plymouth which was approx a 10 min journey. Lovely harbour side area. Will definitely be going again!

The pool and spa are excellent. The gym has nice equipment but is annoyingly small and I don't think they have utilized the space as well as they could. They only have one of a lot of things and it gets fairly busy so chances are you aren't going to have the freedom to do the workout you want. Would be a lot better if they ditched a few machines for more free weights. As much as I love the other facilities, the gym would be a deal breaker if I didn't have access to another one at work.
