Horrible place. Don’t get me wrong they did help in some ways but the trauma of what they did counter acts it. They do not follow a person centred approach. The clinical team seems to run everything and make assumptions even though they only see you one hour a week at best. One doctor (does not work there anymore) put everyone in the company on the same drug at a dangerously high dose. The drug is licensed for palliative care and for schizophrenic bed rest patients. Complaints within the company go no where. Some of the staff members are good and have a good hearts but unfortunately the company moulds them into being emotionally abusive and controlling. The company had potential but it has destroyed so many lives. They lied about what training the staff had. Support is limited and they take people who they cannot manage the risks of. A lot of past residents are waiting for trauma therapy because of what goes on in their houses and how the young people are treated. Even the staff members leave due to it effecting their own mental health. Clinical and head office think they know everything and do not listen to the support staff who see the young people on a daily basis.

care in mind is another prime example of people profiting from people’s suffering. this company gets £5000 a WEEK for yp’s to be here, you’d think with such an amount that we’d be in good hands? sadly mental health care will always be bottom of the barrel, no matter what format it’s advertised in. i held a lot of hope that care in mind would be different, but after being here for 7 months i’ve realised it’s all the same regurgitated fake care. there’s some staff in this company that come in to truly help, but they’ll never be able to offer the level of care that they want to in this environment. it’s truly
devastating, but this is the reality of mental health care. this company couldn’t care less what happens to the young people in their care, as long as that 5k is in their pockets each week.

Collaborative employees, professional management

My experience with Care in Mind has so far been great. I was welcomed into the company and given a clear direction of development and career progression. It is a fast-paced business, but every day is different, and I have great job satisfaction.

My job is to ensure all candidates are treated fairly and with respect. Fairer Recruitment is carried out with each candidate and the ongoing engagement is something that makes Care in Mind stand out from competitors.

Each team works so collaboratively together, and it is a pleasure to work in such a professional environment where everybody is there to offer help and support throughout.

I would highly recommend Care in Mind as a service provider and as an employer, the service model is unique, and I find it highly satisfying working for an employer who are helping make positive changes in peoples lives.

Absolutely awful company! The staff and management within houses are amazing but higher up management lack care. They make decisions without caring about the effect it has on young people and staff and inform you last minuite so you have no time to adjust to things. They leave support staff to support young people after they tell us the most horrific news. Care-in-mind have recently shut down a home, yes this may not be 100% their fault as this was due to external services not fully working with them however higher management decided to discuss this over a number of months and only inform both staff and young people 3 weeks prior to shutting the house. This has caused so much distress, abrupt endings and abrupt moves to another house. Its completely unacceptable and clearly shows a lack of care and thought from the higher up management team. Staff do not get supported enough for the job they carry out snd it's absolutely disgusting.

I would have no idea where to start in explaining care in mind to someone. Appalling? Unprofessional? Money hungry? The list is never ending. After witnessing the unbelievable lack of professionalism, understanding, confidentiality, support, effective management and communication in these houses, I am genuinely surprised how this company is still running. The management of these home are not effectively communicating to home treatments teams, meaning we are not being provided with accurate or reliable information to be able to support and benefit the young people we have in our care. Very little support is given to the support staff working in these homes, although it is promised in their interview process, and this is then obviously going to have a significant negative impact on the young people. After hearing about some of the issues the young people are dealing with I am honestly disgusted. Management falsely accusing young people for support staff mistakes, blatantly ignoring significant issues inside the homes and overall majorly breaching the company's legal requirements, the way this company is currently run is unacceptable, unsustainable and yet another disaster waiting to happen.

Absolutely atrocious placement. Complete disregard for your opinions and complete ignorance of your needs. No one follows the care plans and you are constantly to blame for everything that happens. Clinical make more decisions than residential who actually to some
extent know you, and it seems they have a problem when young people
resort to supporting eachother, yet will leave us alone for several hours and not even ask if we're okay when they finally check on us, so what
else are we supposed to do? Absolutely shocking that they claim to provide adequate care yet only listen when you reach crisis point, if sending you to a&e or psych is even classed as listening. No support proor to incidents and no support afterwatds, basically pointless living here just a roof over your head, a glorified ward in the shape of a house. Absolutely no respect for eachother in the staff team either, often argue or talk
about one another not doing enough and only recently has this subdued as certain staff have started working on shift together instead. Will ignore your concerns until its too late. or until you make a google review i suppose. thats if anyone reads these things. Theyre
blind to suffering and recieve training which clearly isnt sufficent or isnt listened to. I hope this placement improves because it
does hold potential, just need them to work together and actually listen to residents. They clearly dont know how to handle certain diagnoses such as ASD , despite claiming to be trained, but then again they dont really
deal with anything in a helpful way. Full of
empty promises from the get go.

I applied for the Bank Support worker role at Care In Mind, I got shortlisted for a interview. After a successful interview I was offered the job! And of course I accepted.

From the start I have felt a warm welcome from the company, (even before I was offered the job). I was having some problems loading the application etc and sent over a quick email to Matthew, his response was very quick he helped me get things moving.

Upon being invited for a interview I was so nervous, probably more so that it had to be over video link due to the current Covid19 situation. However I was made to feel so relaxed by Katie, the interview was professional but so friendly! Even though I was being interviewed it was almost like we was just having a chat and getting to know each other, Katie was involved in the interview (not just asking questions like most interviews) sharing her experiences and answering any questions I had for her. Everything was explained clearly and I just felt at ease.

Every person I have spoken to from the company have been lovely to speak to and made me feel very comfortable!

I am excited for the next steps!!

Matthews and the team has been supportive all through the interview process. Even though I am yet to get the job due to a medical emergency my house mate had on the final interview day, and no fault of theirs, they showed concerned, understood and was able to fix another date for me within their tight schedule. Other reveiws I have read here, makes me look forward to the job already and hope it goes well for me. Regardless of the outcome, they've been great during the process and do deserve my hard earned five stars.
