had an assessment on the phone, felt like I was being judged and not listened to as the man’s tone was not it. Got told the only help they can provide is a website talking about strategies with ā€˜feedback’ which is useless. Dont waste your time calling up and waiting for a phone call because they’ll make you feel more worse for not being mentally unstable enough to be taken seriously. USELESS.

Wasn't sure at any time who I was actually dealing with, at one point I was referred for councelling run by an organisation supporting womens mental health in the middle east. Wow. Says a lot about this abject service and Birmingham in general. Avoid wasting your precious time with these box tickers.

What is this place, an absolute joke, waited 6 months and come appointment time - I told them I cannot make short notice. They said go back to GP for re-referral and closed my case.

My therapist from BHM (Geraldine) has been absolutely amazing. She has a good energy about her and I felt very open and comfortable with her when opening up about my struggles and issues. I felt a lot better after every therapy session with her and felt like a load had been lifted, I felt heard. Geraldine is a beautiful person inside and out and I feel very lucky to have had her as my therapist. Thank you Geraldine x

Should have read the reviews before consulting them. Was nudged to Healthy Minds from my GP and they’ve been absolutely useless.

After a month + of waiting, the day of my triage arrived. The staff who did not even bother to introduce himself, kept pretending to not hear me (literally I have made loads of call today from the same location on the same network / connectivity) with no issues. And then insisted on me getting to another place - mate, I am a university student it’s a weekday with classes you want me to go home to talk to u and then come back?

He then I guess tried to be of modicum of help by saying we could move to appointments to Thursday but they are completely tone deaf to the fact I spend most weekdays in University (hint: that’s what university students do) so they’ve offered no proper ā€˜help’ to a ā€˜ problem ā€˜ they’ve made up (probably to save themselves from doing their job). Not suitable to be assisting or providing for individuals struggling with mental health.

They exacerbate our mental health struggles rather than support and help us through it.

The lady Catherine who I was having phone calls with completely twisted everything I said and has caused me 2000x more stress then I had before would not recommend at all.

I waited 12 weeks for my first CBT session, and was then discharged due to a clerical error one of their team made when I was referred.

They are grossly incompetent, dishonest, rely on flawed processes, and won't take responsibility for their mistakes.

UPDATE: Still awaiting a reply from an email sent 4 weeks ago stating I cannot make an appointment, have sent weekly follow ups.

Would give zero stars if I could. Was on the waiting list for quite a while. They were quick to dismiss me, get me off the waiting list, when they tried to call me once to book an appointment and didn't get through. To their credit, they then put be back on the list when I complained. After a couple of sessions with a therapist, I was told she wouldn't be able to help me, that I needed to speak to someone else and was put on another waiting list. An appointment was scheduled and they didn't call. Then they had the audacity to say I missed the appointment. Despite me emailing them to complain that I wasn't called, I was told to get in touch with my GP, rebook and go through the process again. They actually lied and said they tried to call at the time, and then messaged me to rebook. I asked for proof, evidence they'd called me. Of course, nothing was provided. I received nothing and was then made to feel I'd missed the appointment and that I was in the wrong. The previous phone calls I'd had with them weren't great either. They were late, were blaming new technology. There were always problems. It's a diabolical service from people who don't care. Dealing with this company is actually making matters worse.
