Dr Fatma Khalaf is by far the most unprofessional and rude "doctor" I've ever encountered. She spoke over me, laughed at me and belittled me. She also put words in my mouth I didn't say and didn't even make an effort to listen to me and my wishes. When I said I would go back to my GP to try and get support another way, Dr Fatma Khalaf said the GP will likely write to CMHT and they will respond by saying they tried to "offer me support, but I refused". This isn't the case at all. I wanted to discuss my care plan in terms of my medication and trying to access therapy which I can fit around my busy work schedule. I also wanted to have another assessment as I believe I have C-PTSD. Dr Khalaf said she won't offer me an assessment until after I've had some therapy. Surely the assessment should come before the therapy so you know exactly what kind of therapy you need to work with whatever diagnosis you receive. She also said factually incorrect things about medication I've been prescribed in the past. I know mental health services within the NHS are so stretched, but to get into this line of work and not have any empathy or compassion is beyond me. Why bother working for the community mental health team if you have no intentions of helping people? I will be going back to my GP and asking to be referred to a different doctor.
