When you're a student at Associated Studios, you become part of a family. During my time here, the team described the school as 'the industry as we'd like to see it'. This means small, supportive and diverse year groups. It doesn't matter what you look like or what your background is. If you're talented, hard-working and kind, there's a place for you at Associated Studios.

The class sizes are smaller which gives you more valuable time with your tutors. The tutors that taught us here all have impressive CV's working in the industry and teaching at some of the biggest drama schools. This is reflected in the quality of your training. Even during a global pandemic, the team at Associated Studios did the best they could to give us valuable and impactful training, as safely as they possibly could. Which even included the possibility to safely perform in an on stage production of Hair and an agent showcase.

Over the past two years of training here, this beautiful building on Latimer Road has come to feel like home.

I've been to several drama schools over my career and Associated Studios is by far the most incredible experience. The tutors, all of whom are visiting industry professionals, currently working in the industry, are incredible and I have never seen students develop their craft so quickly. While it may be one of the smaller drama schools, I cannot recommend it highly enough - the class sizes are small (15 max) which means every student gets individual attention. I have been seen by people currently working, and have work offers and projects with several of them already.

The Head of the School is supportive of each student, and really looks after them as individuals. The visiting tutors are top quality and invest fully in the students development. If you want to develop your craft, Associated Studios is the place I think you should be.

Leo visited Canberra Academy of Dramatic Art to conduct a masterclass and talk to our students. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and experience as well as her generous and gentle sharing of her wealth of knowledge. I was extremely fortunate to observe my colleague in a private tutorial and was amazed as to how quickly Leo was able to diagnose vocal issues and to offer a correction that gave an instant response. Our Students were lucky to travel to London this year to take part in a week of master classes and industry talks and they were very impressed in the. Information and knowledge that was offered to them. I would not hesitate in recommending Leotine as a gifted tutor to any person wishing to shift their artistic practice to a higher level.

I have been on the 7 month intensive part time course and nearing my end of term. The amount that I have learned from not only the outstanding tutors and visitors, but also from my amazing group of classmates has changed the way I approach my artistic practice. The class sizes are smaller so that each student gets a substantial amount of individual as well as group feedback. Leontine and her team are thoughtful , caring and know their craft. It’s been a joy to be a part of various visitors and showcases and I am thankful to be a part of a growing alumni of talented people.

I'm currently studying on the One Year Musical Theatre Course at Associated Studios. I've been really impressed by the number and variety of industry professionals that we've worked with.
Our class sizes have been small and it's meant that we've each been able to grow a lot as performers.
The mentality of the school is very focused on the individual and there is always an open door policy with our Principle Leo. There is such a supportive environment here and our class has truly grown into a family.

I have had the immense pleasure of attending some of Associated Studios Masterclasses and had singing lessons with the director Leontine Hass. Leontine is the top of her field and there is nothing she doesn't know about your voice and how to correct any issues you may have, and how to help you develop your vocal training. Oh to be able to have a one to one with her every week! The Masterclasses are superbly run, with fabulous guests speaker and I have learnt SO much at every class......I will be back again and again and again! Bravo......London's finest!

I have always loved the performing arts, but I hadn't formally trained before coming to Associated Studios. I started the course with little to no industry expertise and very 'shaky' singing and acting technique. Now, 9 months later, it's a completely different story!

My voice has gotten so much stronger! I have learnt a lot about my voice, both theoretically and practically. I have a strong technique to build on now. What I especially love is that I now have a great understanding of what I need to work on and HOW I need to work on it. This means that even outside of school hours I am constantly training and getting better and closer to my goals!

As an actress I have gotten so much more confident, I have found my joy in performing back and I don't feel nervous when approaching a new script. It is hard to describe, but I feel like I have learnt how to "let go" whilst performing, something I struggled with so much before.

I have also learnt so much about the industry. Before coming here the Musical Theatre industry felt like a far-away dream. I had no idea how to actually get there. Now, I am getting professional auditions and recalls, even during training. Thanks to Associated Studios I have also gotten agent interest. I would not have believed this all possible within one year of training, but Associated Studios has helped me get there!

The single most greatest thing about Associated Studios is the personal support. Throughout this entire year, I feel like the principal has always had my back. She has been following and supporting my individual journey every step of the way. Not once have I felt like just a number. To say she has gone above and beyond to support my training and my career in the musical theatre industry would be an understatement. I just know I would not have been where I was today without her.

Of course we have had many great tutors as well, who are so passionate about what they do and genuinely want the best for us. For our graduate show, our entire creative team was just amazing. It was such a joy working together. Giving feedback or advice was never too much to ask. I felt so supported by the tutors, for example: there were several tutors who, even when their teaching term ended, came to watch and support our show and/or our showcase (both in person and online) and continued to offer encouraging words, feedback and advice!

I have completed the first of my two years at Associated Studios and I absolutely love it. The tutors are superb and are all active within the industry so not only do you learn a lot from them but have contacts for the future.
This school promotes hard work and honesty but in a supportive environment that helps you grow as an artist and an individual.
This ethos originates from AS’s Principle Leontine Hass, who is not only extremely knowledgable about the industry and the voice but who is a kind, honest and supportive person herself. She cares about her students and works hard to ensure we receive the training we need.
