I recently left this place after a almost 2 month respite and at first I hated it;

I wasn’t used to the change, but the first night I asked one of the carers if they could help me get back to the hospital I came from, and she managed to calm me down and I spent my first night there.

For me with anxiety and depression it was hard, but the fact that it was so quiet and homely, helped a lot. If you come here and are under their care, then you are in great hands as I met both managers from the get go, and they both were super nice and supportive of my needs.

If you find yourself under the care of Mama Suleka, or Tutu, Vicky, Mini, Remi & Odesuwa from Bluebell Unit, then you’re in luck! I absolutely loved my stay there and lord knows I wasn’t an easy person for them! But they helped me either way and the cleaners to the kitchen staff were all so great. The night staff as well were equally as lovely; Shakira, Louisa(?) Edward and whoever else took great care of me during the night; I thank you all.

I was peeing on the sheets and everything but they always dealt with it accordingly and for that, I am grateful. I hadn’t had a shower for about 2 to 3 months as I was at a hospital before the care home, so when I told Tutu about this she told me she will do her best to get me into a shower even if she had to carry me or use a wheelbarrow (figuratively speaking).

The lovely ladies came up with loads of suggestions like a shower chair or board. I started off with a board, and once I trusted them enough I moved on to the chair. I’m telling you you’re in great hands.

Even the food; the lady from the kitchen, (I want to say her name was Victoria? Or Debby?) came down to ask me what I want to eat and if I had any dietary restrictions. I told her that I am Muslim so she assured me that the meat is halal and on several occasions (I’ve tasted pork before so I knew if she was lying or not) she even at one point was buying the chicken sausages on her way to work!

I honestly wouldn’t change a thing from my stay there, as it was perfect. I’m 25, and I was most likely the youngest of residents in my unit, and that didn’t matter.

Honestly I could make an essay about how great this place was, but my fingers are getting too tired so overall; great care, great people and an overall great stay!

Avoid at all costs!... Elderly friend is currently in hospital recovering, badly bruised and no one in the care setting knows what happened. The incident has only been reported and we have been told by the hospital this happened days ago. How can you trust a care company (home) to look after your elderly if no one is actually looking after them. Very appalled! Still in the dark as to what actually took place.

My ex client has gone into this care home,has been there just over a week now and she loves it,even goes down to activities.

residents do seem well cared for but left alone a little to long. place is bright and clean and staff are friendly. parking is available.
