Firstly if I could give this place minus or no stars at all, I would.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with this community mental health team and members of staff within it.

Please trust me when I say that this place is not fit for purpose.

As a military veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder I was treated like complete garbage, they couldn’t even give me the time of day, even though I fall under the armed forces covenant agreement. The members of staff here that I have dealt with were absolutely useless and they should hang their heads in shame. In my view they should look for new employment in a different area, as mental health is not the area for them.

On many occasions I genuinely thought I was speaking with a member of the public who had accidently walked in to the building off the street or with someone who was just making a delivery instead of speaking to a professionals with qualifications.

This team do not really care about you or your needs and they just give you false information or conduct a tick in the box exercise. They lack any form of understanding and their actions take away your basic rights. This team seem to think that they can get away with this behaviour and they can treat patients in such a poor manner as they don’t have to answer to anyone. They are wrong.

Even other mental health professionals I work with have been treated with no professional etiquette and have been treated just as bad as I was when they tried to contact this team on my behalf. To their surprise.

The other reviews about this team speak volumes and after receiving such poor reviews the team should have made changes. It’s like the saying - “If three people tell you that you stink, you get a shower”.

The people who this team have failed should all make formal complaints, if you don’t then change will not be implemented within this team or service for those that are referred here after us.

Mental health should be taken and treated seriously using all resources. It’s hard enough to deal with poor mental health and even harder to come forward and ask for help, without being kicked in the teeth when you do by this shocking team.

I have seen some sad situations in the reception area whilst waiting for appointments, therefore I know that what I have experienced and the way in which I was treated is not an isolated incident.

This team should be and need to be investigated and changes made to their service for the benefit of all their patients both civilian and ex-military.

This place is useless they don’t keep you informed about what support you are getting in place even still when paying for a private mental health assessment privately the chief executive of LPFT doesn’t do anything to support people with enquires and this place should be closed down because they do not give you support only a quick assessment with a psychiatrist that’s it

Extremely supportive, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, wide variety of services available. Staff go above and beyond, all clearly work there because they're genuinely passionate about helping people.

You can never speak to anyone on the phone and it does not matter whatever time you call them it rings straight to the answering machine, I am experiencing side effects from my antidepressant tablet, I emailed them asking I need the 4 month appointment their doctor am under, they answered 4 days later advising the doctor has brought the appointment forward to 12th February, 2025 that is 3 weeks away how an earth is that going to help me, I emailed back telling them I cannot wait for 3 weeks but as of yet I have not heard anything back, an absolute disgrace, they are not bothered one bit plus it doesn't help when the doctor you are under only works 2 days a week, that just says it all.

If I could give no stars I would!
10 minute appt every 6 months and the man I spoke to found my issues that boring he started yawning down the phone.
Did not give me any advice what so ever, I feel unheard not listened to and I don’t think they care about anyone.
Appalling, no wonder so many people feel they have no other option and end up committing suicide, company’s like this should be held accountable!

Totally rubbish! I was referred there several years ago due to severe mental health issues. Notes were taken as I spoke in detail about my issues.

Zero advice was given. They referred me back to the doctor with report and I was basically told that I was taking up time unnecessarily and needed to consider others.

Mental health issues are as real as cancers and it's not surprising we have so many suicides.

If I could give zero stars I would … after going through terrible severe domestic violence and a tiring stressful ongoing case the help Is non existent. I don’t recommend to any survivors you’ll be extremely disappointed and you’ll get no where and have to most likely go private as that is your only option. there’s no sympathy and I don’t feel they are trained for survivors. you’ll likely get 20 minutes every 6 months and even when diagnosed by a real doctor for complex ptsd… they still aren’t interested.
