We had a wonderful weekend here as a Church conference. Apart from the fact that you are on the sea with heavenly views, the hotel is warm and comfortable, and we were well looked after in their conference room below. The staff could not have been more helpful and efficient, and the food was simply phenomenal. Although we had a lot of choice, and waiters came to take our orders, the food was delivered fast and efficiently. I had fish for all three main meals - red mullet, hake and seabass - and it was perfectly cooked and really delicious. Starters and desserts were equally delectable; this dining-room is as good as any top restaurant. I hope we'll be there again next year! A lovely place to be at a cold grey time of year.

Came to stay for a line dancing weekend. The food was great and the service was amazing. My single room could do with a bit of a upgrade, but it did the job. Lovely bar area where we could relax during the day. The function room downstairs was great with a good size dancefloor. Only issue was there was nowhere safe to store bags after we checked out.

Came here for an organised weekend. The staff are lovely and considering the restaurants were very busy the food was good. But, and it's a very big but, our room was awful. We paid extra for a sea view and were allocated room 73. This is a broom cupboard. The bed is tiny, the shower is so small you cannot bend down to wash your feet and the only sea view you will get is if you bend double. The sink is tiny and awkwardly placed .It really was awful. Also on arrival at 2pm the room was freezing, the heating doesn't come on until 4. Of the two radiators in the room only one was working. We complained but the hotel was full and we could not move. We completed a questionnaire on leaving and have heard nothing from the hotel (over a week later)

This hotel sadly needs refurbishing. Water in my room (Room 70) ran cold most of the time and banging pipes were constant. The lift was antiquated and we chose to walk up the stairs of which there were many as we were on the 2nd floor. Apart from that the room was comfortable. I believe my room was the furthest away but had sea views, although it’s a double room I would struggle if it was 2 people!
My room attendant did a good job and was always helpful and smileyπŸ‘ we were on a coach holiday so we were out most days. The food was okay. Staff in reception very helpful. So far we have had one Evening of entertainment which was excellent.

We have been visiting this hotel since 2020 and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Torquay. In fact this was our 3rd visit this year! The food is excellent - plenty of choice on the bar menu and loads to choose from at breakfast, both hot and cold.| The staff are friendly and helpful - a special mention for the lady on reception on Tuesday, who was so helpful in booking our July 2025 break. Yes we are booked to return not only in July but January as well!|The rooms are always clean and tea, coffee etc is replenished every day. We always book a sea view and have stayed in various rooms during our visits, all of which we have found quiet and peaceful.|The hotel is a little out of the centre but a bus runs along the front if walking us a problem.

Unfortunately the rooms were kind of small. They are recently renewed, so all is painted well and a new bathroom is installed. However the size is a problem.

The kitchen is excellent, we had a perfectly cooked breakfast and a great dinner, with a very kind waiter. A proof of the quality of the food is the Sunday lunch, the hotel was packed with local people enjoying the Sunday lunch.

Had Xmas lunch for a local ladies club, excellent ambience, warm and welcoming, first class cuisine, impeccable service, and everyone enjoyed the experince. They coped well with a variety of dietary needs. We have baooked again for next year. We would recommend their resturant to anyone. Well done!
